Does anyone know if with the latest firmware (v6.20) this 8310 can support sms longer than 160ch?
I found two 8310 @ my girlfriends house...one is like new,the other just needs new covers..the battery still lasts about 4/5 days :)
I like this phone but it is very "low" compared to the siemens sl45i :) although it is funny to use it..
About new phones...other than E-series from nokia,I would not buy any other nokia...

Great phone. Had one years ago and recently decided to get one again. Found one on eBay stores for half nothing :) Good sound, bright backlight, easy menu, good battery life. Only drawback to me is that well.. Of course radio is draining battery and also have to manualy save SMS when sent. Does not save automaticaly. Other than that - the best! Recommend as a second phone or companion on holidays. Cheep and cheerful! :)

This is a good, reliable phone, the battery life is very good and its user friendly. It's also very small and fits comfortably in ones hand.

Cool phone. We are still using it-- my mom, my dad and me. As secondary phone for contacting relatives in the Philippines with a 'roaming' sim card.

A new 8310i:-
same size/dimensions
colour larger screen
5 megapixel camera
VGA video recording at 30fps
now that would be a classic!!

you'll hae to find out if someone has a dead 8310.. you could use that one. generally u'll get them form any normal mobile repairs guy..

i cant understand people saying pls nokia make the same model again etc etc? what is the point? if they make the same model with new fetures it will not be the same phone. i agree it was a fantastic phone but those days are gone now. now theres n82 n95 n96 etc etc..where is the point of making a new 8310? sorry if you understood me wrong but i cant see the point

i'm still using this for 7 years; its really good than the new models. but i can't find any original housing. could you please tell me where to buy any original housing? Because even nokia care they don't have any housing available.

realy very good quality phone past 2003 i bought still i am using onely i replaced panel ,bettary also working in condition radio fm is still working good condition (radio fm now new modles are very worst effect) everythig working in good condition .my good suggestion to nokia plaese make that same model in color, card slot and bigger screen,

Guys, I have my Nokia 8310 too & I agree that this fone is great!..But, my radio wasn't working anymore. A message "Headset needed" appeared if I tried 2 open it withouT headset h0wever,after plugging a headset in it...It goes back to idle screen. The radio won't working. Please,could any1 help me on how to fix this problem. I wanna used my radio in 8310. Thankz in advance! Here's my e-mail add: limonrichard@ymail.com
