> In reply to Kaka @ 2010-01-23 20:23 from nGyj - click to readtry reseting the phone to its defaults (search for the code on the net).
If that doesn't work,go to a street mobile store and ask to change the micro,it should be cheap..

Just like yosh tee, i have just brought the 8310, It was a phone that I always wanted back then but I was in the PAYG market at the time.

I brought it as a second phone that I use for roaming but its been so good I have been using it as my main phone over my Sony Ericsson C510, well for now anyway.

I just bought the nokia 8310 from a chinese seller on eBay for about £20 - and it's almost 2010. Now what does that tell you? Fine, I'm a sucker for nostalgia but honestly, this phone has been the apple of my eye for the past 7-8 years.

I was 15 when the 8310 came out and I strongly remember being jealous of the boys in my school that had one. It was smaller, more stylish and more feature-packed than anything else on the market back then.

But I had never owned the 8310 - I'd played around with it, but I'd never owned one until now. I bought it to replace my Sony Ericsson K800i. I just don't need an iPhone, I don't need to be glued onto the internet when I'm outside - I need a phone that calls and texts. The 8310 does both and looks great doing it.

This phone represents Nokia at it's peak. If car manufacturers can go "retro" and update designs from the past, I think it Nokia would fare well by re-inventing phones like the 8310 and giving them a modern-day twist.

This phone is awesome. I've had this phone for nearly 9 years now an the battery is still great. I only wanted a basic text an talk and i've tried new phones. I've brought new phones and they barely last a year, not made to last, whereas this phone I believe will last me another 9 years. (hopefully). The only drawback is the covers get worn easily an can look tatty after a while - but hey, i'd look tatty after wearing the same coat for 9 years. It's a great compact light phone and wouldn't buy a new one - they don't make them like they used to. Small and light an easy to use, i'd recommend anyone wanting a phone to track down a second hand one, it's great.

> In reply to Moto Rocker @ 2009-12-02 05:34 from wYKg - click to readYeah! I remember one time when I had a fight with my ex Girlfriend and I threw this phone. Everything flew and dismatled as hell. I thought the phone is dead but No! Cool. It is still here with me and I'm still using it. it is now on its 6th year with me. I even accidentally dropped it in a puddle of water. And it is still alive. A really immortal phone!

Simply amazing. Durable. Classic. Still have one. Use it as a secondary phone. I think it sells around 500 pesos in the Philippines, second hand. It's great. Fast internet access but with dot matrix screen. The phone's OS is fast. Good call quality and radio quality. I can't imagine that it cost around 10 thousand pesos before hehehehe
