i have to say that 8600 luna is really ugly compared to any 8800. i`m not a 8800 owner (currently n73 music ed), but will buy in the near future a fashion mobile. unfortunately i think that will be a stupid 8800 se.

stop sending false information!

The 8600 has a 128mb onboard memory, not 1 GB

carphone warehouse confused the stats with the 6500 classic, which has a 1GB onboard memory. This is the reason of the contreversy

I work in carphone warehouse and i can assure you the phone is all stainless steel apart from the opaque glass keypad protector. its a beautiful phone and well worth the 600 to buy the handset

to quote: " its smudge resistant stainless steel"
really/

well it looks like cheap plastic to me

lookswise, it doesnt come anywhere near the impact the original stainless steel 8800 made 18 months ago

To whoever said that the back was plastice, you dont even know what you're getting into.
The body is stainless still cover with matt finish powder to avoid fingerprint and smudge

i went to the carphone warehouse yesterday with the intention of purchasing this phone, happy that i could replace my trusted old 8800 with something similar.
WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT !
everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i didnt think it looked that 'exclusive',the smoked glass was so dark it looked like cheap plastic
and the back of the phone they showed me was rubberised plastic, not stainless steel.

if this phone is work the £600.00 then i am a premiership footballer earning £120,000 per week....

F.Y.I.

This is a slide up phone! And the back of the handset is stainless steel. On the front, there is a toughened black glass keypad cover allowing the keypad to pulsate
