Those Fascinated about this handy, like i am, should NOT buy an OTHER HANDY just because of the memory!

I am from Germany, here the Nokia 8600 comes out in summer, thus it is not out yet. I have thought about how you could overcome the memory problem, and reminded myself about something i have read in the internet a while ago:

The Seanet DAVE. It is a V. small that can carry up to 20 GB! It is constructed especially for handies, has an own battery and can either be connected with wlan (for other handies), bluetooth (might take away too much battery life, but like that you can keep the dave in your jacket or pocket) or by USB! the 8600 has mini usb, so you just go to a shop and buy a connection cable! Then you have a 20 GB memory, that is, in my opinion, an even better solution than a memory card! Just search google for seagate dave. It comes out in summer, at about the same time as the handy in Germany.

Please tell me what you think about that idea!

I have always had an 8000 series fone since the 8850 and have never wanted to use anything other than them. I'm a basic user lots of fone calls and a few texts camera and mp3 are not really top of my priority.

I have a blackberry for all my work needs thus all excuses or so called flaws have no significance all I want is a handset that looks good. Not one the nearest 16 year old chav is blaring some rubbish out of its loudspeaker on the train.

I went in to Carphone Warehouse Yesterday to see the handset I was pleasently surprised at how sleek and smart it is. Well in keeping with the tradition of 8000 series. The only off putting thing was the slightly tacky rubber back on it.

I will definately getting mine once Vodafone range it in the UK Which hopefully should be in the next couple of months.

The battery should be able to last given the fact that it uses the same battery as the Nokia5700.

My housemate has just bought this phone and I have to say it is a very good looking phone, one which I would certainly upgrade to (currently have the 8800 in black and silver because I didn't like the SE!)

As for the lack of upgradeable memory, this doesn't bother me, I'm still using the 8800 with it's SVGA camera and 64mb memory and this has been more than enough. I just need the phone to talk and text and occasionally take a few photos.

I'm impressed, just when I think Nokia can't top the design to the 8800 and then it comes out with this! (but then I thought that with the 8890 and 8910!).
