As a loyal 8910i user i am extremely dissapointed. This phone is CRAP,plain and simple. Lousy features, apalling 'Michael Jackson esque' style and a price that would make bill gates think twice.
I don't know what nokia were thinking when they created this dinosaur because this is without doubt the WORST phone they have ever made.

Nokia is trying to blind everyone with words like "stainless steel" "high end" and yet they put in features which is available to any low-end phones such as the 3*** series. Heck even the Nokia 3230 has a 1.3MP camera feature and it's lighter than the Nokia 8800. Nokia screwed up big time again

I have always been a Nokia 88** series fan. Sadly this Nokia 8800 is just pure crap. What's with the SVGA 0.5MP camera? For a high end phone, the features Nokia put into it is nominal. In term of looks, i still find my old Nokia 8850 more stylish. One would easily find the statements in the press release a total bullsh*t. And who gives a damn what Ryuichi Sakamoto puts what tones into the phone. I expected a better phone to replace the Nokia 8850 but i am sorely disappointed by this.

To Wealthy-I don't care if this comes from the moon or from Mars for that matter. All I said was that I thought the V3 is better than this phone. That's just my opinion...it doesn't mean you have to follow it...and quite honestly, I'd also rather have a Ferrari than a Corvette but in this case, I'd take the Moto over this Nokia, thank you very much! And you have no right to call me stupid or anything! And you have the gall to gall me naive?

they just could have put the price of 3000euros, there would be still people to buy it, but not with these features!!
every luzer can afford 300euro for a phone if he want's to be cool!
they should have put 2_3MPX camera and everything affordable only for rich, not like this

its the ugliest phone ever and it is also unpractical svga camera with 800x600 sounds really ridiculous for that generation of phones

it may be ugly and not as functional as many other (cheaper) phones but the main reason really is for image. if u can afford it - it says a lot about how heavy that wallet of urs really is! who cares if it's ugly..as long as u're rich enuf to have one u rule!

hey guys... although i am an nokia user, i must admit that that phone design and dimension is getting bigger and bigger. i must say they are not improving but going downwards! BULK UP NOKIA!

Nokia are still way behind. other phone models have 2 mega pixel phones out already & are better in video quality too & style & features. This phones only got style & crap features, SVGA? WTF!

Seriously, this is a lousy phone. Just studied the features. If you wan to classify this as premimum phone, look ALONE is not enough. YOU NEED TO HAVE QUALITY. Please try to improve. Look at your competitors, NOKIA, their technology is better. (If you don't have SYMBIAN OS phone, u are just nothing)

Mr. Cristopher Reeve : 8919i even now cost a lot of money and thats why I said 8800 it will cost even more . Compare price between 8910i and 9210i.Thx.

which silly prirock would pick the V3 over the 8800 better looking phone all round the v3 is the crappy v600 but flat n they say nika just rename old phones

Hey man, you do sound stupid & naive. Go & get yourself a V3 & shut up. This Nokia phone is an European product......delicate stuff......very unlike V3 from the USA.
( I rather own an European Ferrari or Lamborghini than an American Corvette or Mustang.......and this also apply to other things including mobile phones!!! GET MY MESSAGE?????
* This beautiful NOKIA 8800 is going to be my next dream phone.
