jsut got the phone. its not new but the battery life is really bad. both batteries wont even last a day. is the bp-6x a nokia battery? is this a better option than the sirocco battery? it wont save number on the sim. has anyone experienced

Personnally....BEST PHONE EVER.
alright, quite some disadvantages, but I just love it!
I can't think of changing it....it just doesn't have any replacement!

even BP-6x is not a solution. The telefon is nice and glamourous, but has a lot of disadvantages.

battery is a real problem, i bought it with a spare battery and they are both useless! what a shame.

I'm a person who loves style! No matter what it cost... I bought this phone in 2005. Still using it but i've replaced the battery with BP-6x. It works wonderfully. Hopefully i'ii get one Arte as my next phone! Congrats NOKIA.

Turning off when it wants to??? I used to own a Motorola V3 Razor and it had the same problem, I took it back to where I bought it and it was repaired. The software was faulty and was replaced...but...make sure you save everything from your old software (pics, videos etc...) that are stored in your phone or you WILL lose it like I did and I was so disappointed. The software was changed without notifying me to let me know that I would lose all my pics etc.
Your best way to find out what is wrong with your phone is to have preferably a Nokia repairer take a look at it :)

The Nokia 8800 is a very stylish looking phone, I was lucky to receive 1 as a gift but the battery life is not good at all. I will look into buying a genuine Nokia Siroco battery and see how that goes.
As for the speaker (not being able to hear properly), this is a common problem in Nokia phones and a genuine Nokia repairer is definately recommended to rectify this problem. It probably won't cost you that much to fix but please see a certified Nokia or phone repairer.
Nokia 8800 is great quality within its materials and suits me just fine as an everyday phone.
Most stylish phone I'v ever come accross, apart from the battery lol

This phone is the Best Old is Gold, Nokia got it spot on with this 8800 i Love it,
the new arent as good as this Original 8800

its cool, durable, flashy, but i just have one problem. the screen is going white, even when its been powered on with my sim card in it i can't recieve any call. it returns user busy and i dont know what to do. please can anyone reach to me by my email address on how i can fix this problem or just call my cell phone +234-8039451044. thanks

this phone is one of the best phones around. i have used mine for over a year now and despite falling down so many times (no thanks to my clumsiness) it doesnt have a single scratch on it. and everyone seems to complain abt battery life. i will suggest to have a spare charged battery with u all the time! that always comes in handy!

One of the best looking phone i've ever seen. Got this 8800 and i find it great. Just that the battery life sux. Got the BP-6X battery instead and it can last me for about 18 hours (heavy usage). It's recommended to get a car charger tho.
As for the price, this is pretty solid and i dont find what so bad about it. Comparing it with 8600 luna, this is way better in terms of how solid tis phone is. Love it!
