As usual a fine looking Nokia device as they say at Nokia flagship stores. But why limit to triband when quad is more appealing and provides superior performance? For instance my circle of friends all own Luna but all 16 of us wouldn't dare try the new one because AT&T formerly Cingular will fail coverage due to lack of the 4th band. Too bad that'll be 16 less units Nokia will sell. Wise-up Nokia!!

Triband??? Why exclude the US market? Nokia please be aware that QUADBAND is what really optimizes signal performance in the US in case you didn't know. It's alot of money to pay, although it's a stunning phone and well worth it, how much more can it cost you to include the 4th band or are you just trying to manipulate the markets?

Why all the moaning about this phone? People forget to realise that mobile phones are PHONES but these days have added features to make your life easier. If you want features, go buy an iPhone or one of the Nokia N series, or a SE phone. This phone has a decent camera, both EDGE and 3G connectivity and looks good! Ok its worth a packet but it will go down in price. And the phone looks beautiful!

So long as their r fools to buy these sets Nokia would continue making mistakes on their expenses. U need latest tech on these gadgets not glass fibre or steel or Gold on them. The Public should be inteligent enough to make a choice.

Seems like Nokia is travelling back in time from quadband to triiband. What'll be the next release, Nokia 8800 farte dual band??? Let's wait and see.

luna has nothing to do with 8800,8800 schirocco or 8800 arte,it is a difrent phone, i repeat luna is not a 8800,however it is in the 8 series, like 8910 or 8850

Media hype is Nokias weapon,as for sirroco & Luna this being 40 series same as 6233. These mob hav inherent problems as signals batt and speaker output. U pay for Gold n Rolex not even .10% of actual weight.

Price wise, this phone has been marked at $1400! Which is a little more than 1000 euros!! In New York, at the Nokia store you can buy 2 Lunas for that price.

The phone looks really good and is one of the few fashion phones that can compete with LG as well as some phones from Samsung. Whats diddapointing is that it's really tall (109 mm), has low -rated-bttery life (3h) and it lacks a memory cards slot, just like every oter phone in the 8000 series... Nokia makes great phones but they never seem to make compact phones, or at least what the competition has, in terms of size.

How can nokia have the guts to release a new luxury phone just 6 months after the Luna? Second point, I heard that the Arte would be around 1000 euros and when comparing the features with the Luna, it doesn't beat it buy 400 euros (the price difference between both). Finally, for all those who try to use the "My phone is for calls only" logic (a fake excuse to justify the 8800 series purchase), it is equal to me saying that I use a typewriter for my letters instead of a computer (an improved version with internet, email...). See a resemblance?
