Hi, could anyone please say, who are using this phone on a daily basis, if it really does attract lots of fingerprints, dust, etc? Thanks.

People need to Understand that some People dont want Phones like N-Series which are literally Computers not phones..this 8800 Arte is for the Cooolest and Rich people of This World who just use their phone as a Phone! nothing more nothing less they just use their as a Phone! and at the same time showoff with it!

its all about the Style with 8800 range!

after all, some people think that we, the users of this mobile, crazy to pay its price for this arte. :)

get the arte becasue of the fetures even though u dont care bout them....
the sirocco is still heaps and ther old as..but they got the looks

get the arte at least u have the camera thats betta and stuff

ok, as the ownership of this babe on third day, yeah, like someone on this forum, the .swf is not exactly working, although it is supposed to be flash animation background(or wallpaper).

the battery wise, it's matching up with my xda. it means that i need to recharge it once a day. but hey, it attracts lots of attentions yesterday when the mobile rings (in the middle of orchard road, and that says something). the quality of the sound is remarkable, very distinguish, and rich. it's like to compare output sound from BOSS with other ordinary speakers.

except of thinking getting a spare battery for this baby, i can see myself sticking to this mobile for quite long.

happy new year ahead everyone ^^

This phone may be attractive, ,with the beautiful OLED display, the exotic metal and expensive glass used to make this phone, but the price is not worth it!

I can buy an SE K850 with the most expensive accessories and with better features and I still wouldn't be able to match the price of this phone. Has Nokia gone crazy? There are cheaper and more exotic phones out there at a more cheaper price.

Nokia- thanks a lot for release such an expensive, featureless, stupid phone.

Why is Nokia trying to turn away all of its loyal customers?!

First, the n95, and n82 would the horrific battery life and now this. Why doesn't Nokia ever release a decent, and well-balanced phone?! This just doesn't make sense at all!

How is the Nokia 8800 Arte compared to the Nokia n82? Which phone is better? Obviously,the n82 has more functionality, although it lacks design. Besides making phone calls, what is so good about the 8800 Arte?

Nothing new change of body rest same as Luna but triple priceof S40 devices. Nokia clever to encash niche class they have nothing special but model to show off

this phone is great .
this phone ROCKS more then sirocco.bought in in sg for 1.8kSGD.damn friggin expendsive BUT ITS WELL WORTH IT.for 8600 luna price is startin to go down. i bought it last time at 1.2k now its sellin at 1k.thats almost 20 percent depression.just think.material wise, i would say luna's smoke glass is real nice and its num pads blinking in and out ---- thats pretty cool.

for 8800 arte its a mixture of glass and metal u can feel the weight, the elegance and u dont want to put it down.this , is better then luna.

comparing arte to sirocco, sirocco's black is uncomparable to arte and arte IS ALOT DIFF FROM BOTH SIROCCO AND LUNA.sirocco black is rather bulkly and not as elegance, and suck in batt , cam , display , sound , etc.sirocco gold?dont talk about it, its worst.

well, i am looking forward to peek at the new sapphire , i asked the shopkeeper when i bought my arte and he told me its gonna cost 2k+ SGD ( 1 usd to 1.4 sgd ) well, its leather-coated and saphhire in the middle=D
but i guess i'll stick to arte.

so which is better? the arte obviously.

i got this phone from a phone shop.. i knew the owner very well.. she ordered 10 of these but they only agreed to release 2 to her.. one of which i bought.. the price is 1,150USD.. the battery life is somewhat better.. it only comes with one battery.. the battery life is good for 6 hours of media and there would still be 25% or less left.. no bad i would say..

yesterday, read all user reviews on this site. some pros, and some cons. well, anyway, went ahead to buy this baby yesterday, and play with it this morning.

the conclusion is, this mobile is intended for people that treats mobile as mobile, and not laptop-gigantic ipod/creative storage capacity - digicam etc substitutes.

love the design; classic, elegant, so smooth, especially opening and closing. can produce live animation in between the actions.

have no problem with the keypads; (of coz it's small and neat, as this phone is tiny enough to fit onto petite gal's palms). all luxury mobiles are using the similar keypads concepts, such as vertu. can you imagine vertu's one with gigantic keypads? looks totally uncool and cheap!

user friendly interface (to be expected by nokia products);

wonderful output sound eventhough just came from the right side of the mobile, but you can actually have Stereo Widening feature to be activated, therefore you will receive balance output sound. of coz no one is ever encouraging you to put your ears next to any speakers, rite?;

good for outdoor scenes for camera-wise; i even known that some mobiles have poorer quality pics than this.

have classicLong.3gp as my incoming video ringtones now(i noticed that some people at this forum are not aware that you need to do extra step in order to assign those video ringtones as incoming calls).

it's far better than the predecessors (such as sirocco) in terms of memory capacity, camera, gprs, etc. of coz gold and silver screaming louder than all black one. nevertheless, black is elegant, stylish, and can do no wrong for most people (if you are a fashionista, you know what i mean here).

fingerprint prone, well, what do you expect from something that is made of metal and glass? try arte sapphire then, as it comes with leather case. that's the reason why nokia produce this arte and arte sapphire.

i have no problem with the weight of the mobile, as it is telling me that i am investing my money, not on plastic or ordinary china-made products, eventhough it might lack of the extra features that people are keep boosting of. and 150gr is nothing, c'mon. this baby is also slim and tiny enough to be carrying along anywhere, including to clubs. :)

about the price, yeah, it's a bit far-fetch by some people. but i am telling myself that after 6 months from now on, the price of my arte or any other 8800 series won't decreasing up to 50% from the price that i paid for.

as to compare with luna 8600, that's laughable. ok, luna has quadband. and the mobile looks merrier than this one (as this one, at a glance, you can only see blank black screen thingy with 'nokia' on its top).nevertheless, for me, simple yet elegant, is much matter to me. attractive doesn't mean to be more sophisticated.

anyway, if you want to have a good quality pic, invest yourself a decent digicam. if you want to listen to your millions mp3s or watching videos, invest yourself a mp3 player. if you think that you still want to surfing internet (not enough surfing whilst at work and home), maybe to check out the movies' schedules, invest a decent tablet laptop or just buy an EE PC.

alternatively, you might just want to invest on a psp. (psp can do everything that you want, except receive and send calls and sms) and keep this mobile, like me.

Forgot this phone, forget the luna and forget the scirocco, The phone you should be looking at is the N82 Titanium, 5MP camera, Built in GPS, WiFI, Quad Band, HSPDA, Crammed with features, Cool sleek design and better battery life than the Arte, Luna and Scirocco, Good to see Nokia get some of their handsets right, Roll on the N82, Just got mine from Carphone Warehouse where it's exclusive for 1 month

this the best nokia i thin but he have a 1 problem i tin the menu is not god and the best menu in this mobile the menu of nokia n-series the camera vey god !

to the comment who said finger print prone what lol are you sure you have one its got a coating on the phone that does not show fingerprints im touching mine now the fingerprints go away dont know how it works but it does so what you on about lol are you drunk . and the person who said it looks like sirocco well it looks nothing like it sirocco looks like its been dropped on the floor with that stupid dint on the front and back small screen glossy in colour seems to me like sour grapes to alot of people in here ,lol well ive bought it i like it batt, lasts ages sound quality when making a call is so good ,phone so smooth when you slide it up , not like sirocco when you slide that up it feels like screen is going to fall off and sirocco makes loads of noises lol , people say lunar is good phone well you slide that up the buttons freaked me out they are so big and dopey like my old calculater from 10 years ago so got rid of that phone as soon as possible the glass front looks like my grannys glasses , so to you 2 people who say lunar sirocco are better why you in this forum lol if you think your phones that good your in this forum lol why mmmm let e think if you want one of the arte phone go buy it , and the person who said sirocco is good keep telling yourself that you may believe it one day its that good you have to carry that spare batt, lol so those who like this phone its really well built loades off memory not like lunar or sirocco like tose 2 pratts are saying well love my 8800 arte cant fault it and those 2 cant change my mind as they slag it off they want one really sooooooooo save up and go buy 1 you know you want to , so gsm arena you know the truth about this phone how dood it is so when these 2 pratts reply to this is they put falls information in this forum you should barr them from gsm arena so phone charged up off out shopping now with my cool phone in my pocket you with the lunar your makes a good calculater with those dumd dumd buttons and you with sirocco dont forget to take your spare batt , lol got to go time to spend more money will look out for you 2 with sirocco and lunar wont be hard to c you bet you both will be dressed in grey dull and boring like your phones lol
