> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-12-27 05:57 from t7sH - click to readPlease i have this nokia 8800 slide phone, made in finland.the challenges am facing is that of not having enough time to talk with friends on the phone because i will have to charge and recharge the battery before i could use it to talk for 30-1hr calls. This has been a big problem to me because each time i feel like talking to a friend for a long time,i am always discouraged.

I just bought a Nokia 8800 arte and it is made in finland. Can someone from Nokia tell me that this is original. How can I check if this is genuine or not.

all you dissers of the arte. You're missing the point of it.the point is that there's a very little chance of you bumping into another person with an arte.this makes it rare, and rare is very very cool.It could be the same case with any other crappy flop phone, you'd never see that in someone else's hand either but there's a diffrence. The diffrence is,everybody knows the 8800's.As soon as you glide your phone out of your pocket,it gives an impression, that yes, this person has a sense of class.
If this had gps,if it had a n82 like camera,if it had s60, nobody would've thought of it as diffrent. And suddenly it would've seemed ridiculous instead of expensive.Dig deep, understand what its all about.
I slided from an iphone 3g to this,i know how it feels. For a week i could'nt belive i made such a horrible mistake, but one day i got a call,it was cold that day,the sun was setting and as i slid out my 8800 arte and it glared the orange sunlight, the point of arte started to make sense.

Had this for about 6 months, loved the phone until the backplate behind the screen started to loosen... it turned out that it was glues... not screwed fast. unbelievable considering the pricetag on this phone. Also straight after this two of the keypads faulted, had to deliver in for service.. which took a long time to get fixed. Got it back and sold it.... believe me, I would much rather buy the new 6700 classic, has the same nice exclusive feel, and much better specs...
