i just bought this phone and it is awesome, before it i had used the original 8800 and loved it also (i actually think the origianl looks better than the new arte's, but the arte's features are just too good to give up) although i think all the 8800's are good in some way.
i also plan on getting the erdos when it comes out :)

can you please tell me what should come up when I enter *#0000# on the original Carbon Arte, and if there are some things I should watch out for on the phone's general outside appereance or box-content? thank you! (have entered same question on several Nokia phones, please allow it, I'm not spamming) Thank you

Ppl who buy this masterpiece buy its luxurious durable design and the fine materials this phone is made of. I can't understand why some ppl hate this phone cuz it doesn't have the iphone or an N series features.. Not everyone want a toy, some of us want fine well built TOOLS. We all know about other phones with better video recording or touch screen or better gaming etc but not all of us need those features that usually comes in a cheap plastic package. I used to jump from a phone to another till I got 8800 carbon..now I'm fully satisfied with this fantastic built phone.
If you think its waste of money don't buy it, no one will force u to do so..but don't scream and cry loud against this phone and all who like it.
Some complain about the price of this phone yet they buy 2-4 cells in 2 years for the same cost ot even more.. I know of few that still use the original 8800 for 4 years because the phone functions well and put together very well and the design is timeless, they end up paying (less) than so many other consumers for cell phones in 4 years.

in moldova are very much fakes of arte series and i want to say that even if it's expensive it could be fake i want to buy a carbon arte (made by nokia...not original) with 215$ it's 150€ and it already is waiting for money i saw this mobile and it has all the original accesories the same display the same 4GB the same 3.2MP and the same functions and if i couldn't knew that is fake i would say its original...yes are many fakes but there are and qualitative fakes that aren't so different from the original (someones couldn't be differed from originals).

This phone is like Rolex watch, you can buy it in $2000 or in $20 also. Visit official dealer or website before buying & do some research ,thats I can say.
