Andrew it's so expensive coz is stylish phone it isn't a lap top this is a phone for people who understand from style :)

Hello this phone dosn't have much space and it's not a multimedia phone. There is no such features. Just like a simple mobile phone. But why this is so expenceive?? :S

i have had this phone for 2 years.. This phone isn't a multimedia phone, so i never think about large memory space and great sound, but this phone is very cool, it's nice and elegant.. For me this is one of the best phone from nokia..

Hello I have nokia 8800 sirocco and he show me that i have in TOTAL 23 mb free. I have deleted every thing.
And i have reset ti factory defaults but he stil showing 23 mb free memory.
What can i do to solve this problem?
Is this a software problem?

I have had this phone now for almost 2 years!
Whilst the battery life is not great, nor is the memory card, there are 2 batteries and so many other accessories included.
However, the phone looks outstanding, has given me no problems and if looked after still looks as good an elegant as new!
If it continues to last, is definetly worth the price that was paid for it

hey guys, quick question, please help me. i wish to buy a phone and i want it to have mp3 tone for the alarm. how can i find out which phones have it? is there a rule i can follow? like if the phone has mp3 player or mp3 ringing tones, it has to have selectable mp3 tones for the alarm? or do i have to buy the phone to find out :D .thanks

for some reason the phone wont allow me to recieve pic messages or send them and every time i try to go on the internet or something it tells me download packet data what does that mean?

the phone is beautiful, but so expensive! and I really don't understand why. I bought it a very cheap price here in Mexico but I have no cables or way to connect it to my computer. This is not the standard way the "modern" phones are working now. It's just a phone, nothing else without the cable.

this phone has to be taken off the market.it gives nokia a bad name.its battery is whack..music player hopeless..low memory...i advise to recall the phone..though its already too late.u'all already took our money.

I've had my Sirocco for bout 18months now and i've experienced all the probs that everyone has listed. The battery life is low, theres scratches on my "scratch resistant" screen, my fone turns off randomly, my charger broke, music player is crap, camera is crap, video is even worse. And last week the power on the phone completely went, after switchin on the fone the screen went blank and turns off again, so had to send it off to fix, costin me £45 and don't know when i'll get it back and if it will be working again, apparently it's got something to do with the software. If i'd known all this then i wud have never wasted my money in the first place. I'd say it's more for business use than anythin else, but i felt privlidged to own one
Good points: Looks sexy and i once stored 6,000 text msgs in my inbox! (",)
Overall, i wouldnt recommend buyin the phone, its overly priced and is all hype. It was hard to get one in the first place n then a couple of months later they release a gold one for nearly a grand!! From now on i'll prob stick to Sony Ericssons

I bought this phone when it was first released, and payed a ridiculous amount for it. After 2 months of using it, it stopped working!! (It would 'freeze' then switch itself of after the nokia logo and jingle). I was informed i would need to have it reflashed, apparantly quite a common problem occuring in these phones.
I had data which is invaluable to me, stored upon my phone, which i could not afford to lose. I am told if i reflash the phone all of the data shall be deleted! And there is no other way for me to save it, as unlike other phones, the Sirocco does NOT allow for data cable usage. (There is no port of connection, or cable available).
The only way to save data is via bluetooth, but as it freezes after the Nokia logo, i am unable to use this function!
So i recommend to anyone, do not buy this phone, if you do then do NOT store vital data upon it!!
other than that, it does look amazing!
