> In reply to Adem Tez @ 2009-04-16 13:52 from 0yYy - click to readHey there. I believe when you mention "CARBON FIBER" Its the 8800 Carbon Arte? You're in the wrong section my friend.

Furthermore, this phone is so nice, i would not want it to take a bullet for me, i would rather take the bullet, than my phone.

Using lasers? This is not a diamond you know. Its still metal.

I got the Sirocco 24K Gold plated edition, made in Finland and shipped directly from Europe.

All i can say is its a beautiful piece of art.

This phone makes heads turn and makes you the envy of your clique and even your rivals.

Here is my review:

BATTERY LIFE:

So far i have used it to make 15 calls, 30 texts messages, i missed 4 calls on vibration. Blast the music player loud enough to kill your ears! (Especially the standard "BEE" ringtone provided). It lasted for 4 days before flashing "Low Battery".

External:

This phone is easy to catch your finger prints dust, dirt, but you can wipe it off easily. One more thing, it scratches easily, because of the "Mirror appearance" So ensure you protect Siroccos well for longer lasting external beauty.

Systems:

Minimal systems within the phone, but be thankful, there is a camera(2mp,not the very best), A music player, a video player and an organizer and a bluetooth system for transferring of files and earpiece.THE VOICE CLARITY IS VERY CLEAR! Signal Strength is slightly above average, but in tolerance limits.(Fluctuates from time to time as with all cellphones & depending on your network provider)

Who might carry these?:

Rich people, business men & women, fashionistas and celebrities. This phone as mentioned before does cost. But its not meant for the average crowd, its not meant to bring a smile to everyone. People who love classics, appreciate the sleek, the dynamic "WOW" look and the style will love this phone for its simplicity and its elegance.

My take:

I love this phone, even though it lacks GPS,3G Video Call, Wi-Fi, GOOD Camera,EPIC LOUD MUSIC PLAYER,FUNNY APPLICATIONS. THis phone will be my companion for a looong time! Because its about appreciating the beauty of this phone and not just that. The basic are covered. Making a call, texting, voice dial. What more do you need.

Why do you need high - tech features?:

3G is expensive, GPS sucks battery life, MUSIC PLAYER? (Get an IPOD),GOOD Camera? (Buy a Nikon)LOUD SPEAKER?( Buy a boom box with Bose Speakers. Nobody wants to hear shitty music all over the place or in a meeting.

THis phone wins the Y2K SEAL OF APPROVAL of ELEGANCE,UNIQUENESS,STYLE,CLASSY,VINTAGE Appeal and performance for those who enjoy what a cellphone is used for. =)

BEWARE of this model. There has recently been an influx of this phone (8800 Sirocco BLACK) to the market. Sellers claim it is NEW or whatever and selling it around 500 to 700 US dollars. I would like to warn those who are alert that HK and CHINA recently produced tons of these. I don't know if those are fakes, but it has been flooding the ASIAN markets recently without warranties or any sort of company acknowledgments. Please beware and buy with caution.

i got my sirocco in Nov 2006 and am still using it, this is also the first phone I kept over 2 years. The phone looks as new as it was 2 years before, the leather protective case is damaged.

The battery makes a little minus on it, but I'm more than satisfied. This is my 1st phone I kept over 2 years.

T.his is the best looking phone ever.Make the difference not the best "future specifications" but for sure the best looking phone .you have to see it and to hold it to know what i"m talking about.I had the iphone and the sirocco gold and they are the best in their class but also so different.

> In reply to bryja @ 2009-01-19 22:29 from nCby - click to readI agree with you. This is a masterpiece, not a phone for the people. I work with mobile phones, I use hi-tech phones everyday, and this one is not that: it's a precious gem, not a phone. It's not build to perform, it's build to impress. And it delivers...

This phone has ETERNAL BEAUTY . beauty that is meant to last. MANY full featured phones have com and go but yet, the beauty of an 8800 remains unsurpassed> let go of all the plasticky, chunky, wobbly phones. This phone is SOLID,ROBUST, ELEGANT , and CLASSY.

It compares to a Diamond. It's just a rock but Its beauty brings endless happiness to anyone who owns it and shares its radiance.

That is all I can say.

All Hail the GOLDEN SIROCCO

Sirocco means- Sahara Wind
