Sony Ericsson is Audi, Apple is Porsche, LG is Mercedes (due to the flashy looks and innovation) and Samsung is Lexus.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-02-11 18:49 from xrcsHmm...new phones ugly? OK, the new generations of the 8800 series probably don't look as good as this, but there are a heap of new generation phones which are thousands of times better looking than this. Funny thing is, in 2014 you'll be saying that today's phones are going to be much better than they are in the future and reflect on the old days of the Samsung Omnia and Touch HD and IPhone 3G (which will most likely be 4.5G or 5G) by then. A trend on GSMArena comments boards I've noticed is that a lot of folk are cherishing the classics and I don't know wether they're taking the cake to be honest with you.

I had this phone a few years ago, lost it, and recently found another one in good condition for sale on eBay. Quite frankly, I think that this is the best looking and most stylish phone ever made (why are so many new phones so ugly!?!). It's beautiful, well-built and a dream to use. Of course, it lacks all the features that new phones come with these days (camera, mp3 etc.) but for making and receiving calls, it can't be beat.

OMG looking at the specs I wonder why I paid over $1000 back when this phone came out. Maybe same its the same reason why I just spent almost that much on the Xperia X1.

I compare this phone and many other Nokia 8 series like 8810, 8910, 8850 to Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124. There are many new Mercedes , but everyone know that this automoiles was the best last Mercedes. Like this Nokias

I bought this phone second-hand and had been using it for almost six months. Is it normal that the battery only lasts for 12 hours? I already bought a brand new original battery to use as back-up and yet the phone still stays on for 12 hours. Is that normal, or is the phone using up too much power?

im actualy buying my third one this coming week. i think this phone has the best design ever. its the most practical phone ive ever had. i mean sure technology is nice and everything but its only not fraustrating when the manufacturors perfect it. the 8890 is perfection at the peak of its time frame.

> In reply to ashlee @ 2008-03-01 15:50 from 0Fg4Gosh, with ungreatful philistines like you, it's little wonder why the world has resorted to pessimism and whinging. Move on mate, it's 2008. This is a classic because I happen to own one, but the NSeries current generation user interface and technology is far far far far superior than any of the vintage Nokia models.

Yep, this, the 8855, 8850 and the 6220 are amazing phones and are flawless.
Nokia are stupid.
The new Nokia software is rubish. N-series is a waste.
It all went down hill after 2005.
Nokia should make archive models, instead of bringing crap phones like the 1100 out!

This is, without a doubt, the most well-designed phone Nokia has ever made. For me- primary, the phone is all about calls and messages, no more, no less. which this phone does just perfect. I don't need all this stuff which modern day phone contains so Nokia 8890 is a perfect option for me. wish they still made this. For me this phone is never too old, it totally rules. the design, the simplicity... everything. I love it

This phone was the most stylish phone when it came out and I think it still is. This phone was one of the first to use the slider type functionality. This phone is so rare to find, I wouldn't doubt to find this selling more than $200.
