Screen on 8910i is below average and i noticed that screen quality was not sufficient,as the display had bad colour balance and was less comfortable(picture looked dim).
Go for 8910.It's more reliable than 8910i.

i'm about to buy one of these pieces of art (as i know closely the 8910) but i have some concerns about the visibility of the display on an intensive sunlight. can anyone tell me should i bother about this and does the display turn black in direct sunlight?

just bought one of these yesterday from a mate yesterday. I've had mainly smart phones so far and my last one was a sony ericsson p990i, i'm so fed up with how slow smart phones are, i hate the lag on them. I bought this because i've wanted one for a long time and one of my best mates got one ( he loves it ).

i'm impressed. it doesnt do mp3's, doesnt have a 2 mp camera, doesnt have a touch screen, and guess what, it doesnt matter. You dont need all that. its got everything you need, makes calls, sends txts and has bluetooth.

i love it

I just got an new one from www.foneco.co.uk, (Good prices!)

I've never had one of these before but even though it's quite basic compared to the multimedia phones we have today I love its simplicity and unique styling. The way it slides up to reveal the buttons is very cool even by today's standards.

This is my second phone first was 8910 and now 8910i. I've been using for like almost 3 years and not the casing is havin some problems. Its not sliding in good as it used to be. It needs a hard push on its head to get it in and the microphone aint working. The nokia service guys arent takin it in to see whats wrong as they say that this model is outdated. LACK OF SERVICE FROM NOKIA. Now i'm using my phone through bluetooth headset. The signal reception is a little bad in this model. i'm thinking of switchin to 8800 but now i am having my second thoughts coz of nokia's so called "SERVICE DEPARTMENT". I might switch to apple iPhone.

i once had a black 8910. a non-colored version of the fabulous 8910i. I find the the phone incredibly sleek and gorgeous. I've also been through a lot of PDAs and 3G equipped mobiles but really, nothing would compare to the classy and versatile look of the 8910(i) I'm now back to using an 8910 (the platinum version) and if there would be anybody who's interested in selling their 8910i's for a good price then, i'll say, it would be the upgrade that I've been waiting for..

just bought a second hand 8910i in perfect mint condition. currently using a treo 650 which i am perfectly happy with all the features. After only 2 day of usage, Ive retire my Treo and very satisfied with 8910i albeit with no bell and whistle to sing off. this is what all phone should be. simplicity and elegance. Love it.

this is truly a masterpiece created by nokia. the nokia 8910i doesnt need a 3.15mp camera or over 200k colours in the screen to be cool! i have a mint condition one still nicely tucked in its box from many years ago! i admire its beauty everyday haha man its becoming an obsession.

Rabbit, this phone will not and will never work on US networks I'm sorry, you cannot find a way around this because trying to change the GSM bands in a phone is literally impossible and would permanently destroy the phone. It was built for European networks and other countries supporting GSM900/1800MHz, but unfortunately the US only has GSM1900MHz so this phone will not work.

Sorry mate :( Hope this helps.
