well it is the best vip phone... the keypad was great and very easy to use.. i love this phone...
oh tat phone!wat a history!!!only gud memories wit it.the greatest phone nokia did by far...wit tat so elegant sliding style.u just do it the matrix way .Tat's my vip phone!
just bought one of these yesterday from a mate yesterday. I've had mainly smart phones so far and my last one was a sony ericsson p990i, i'm so fed up with how slow smart phones are, i hate the lag on them. I bought this because i've wanted one for a long time and one of my best mates got one ( he loves it ).
i'm impressed. it doesnt do mp3's, doesnt have a 2 mp camera, doesnt have a touch screen, and guess what, it doesnt matter. You dont need all that. its got everything you need, makes calls, sends txts and has bluetooth.
i love it
I just got an new one from www.foneco.co.uk, (Good prices!)
I've never had one of these before but even though it's quite basic compared to the multimedia phones we have today I love its simplicity and unique styling. The way it slides up to reveal the buttons is very cool even by today's standards.
[QUOTE: i cant recieve polyphonic ringtones via bluetooth or infra red.. HELP!]
It doesn't support Polyphonic Ringtones, only mono.
I need a nokia 8910i in good working condition ASAP. pls email me if any. Thanks
hi there fellow people
can sumone tell em if this fone is tri band?
also would anyone be intereted in buyin some of these? please let em know
This is my second phone first was 8910 and now 8910i. I've been using for like almost 3 years and not the casing is havin some problems. Its not sliding in good as it used to be. It needs a hard push on its head to get it in and the microphone aint working. The nokia service guys arent takin it in to see whats wrong as they say that this model is outdated. LACK OF SERVICE FROM NOKIA. Now i'm using my phone through bluetooth headset. The signal reception is a little bad in this model. i'm thinking of switchin to 8800 but now i am having my second thoughts coz of nokia's so called "SERVICE DEPARTMENT". I might switch to apple iPhone.
I have a Nokia 8910i its very rare to find it in lebanon anyways i just wanted to correct somthing .. the games are ... BackGammon , Snake 2 , Snowboard.
i once had a black 8910. a non-colored version of the fabulous 8910i. I find the the phone incredibly sleek and gorgeous. I've also been through a lot of PDAs and 3G equipped mobiles but really, nothing would compare to the classy and versatile look of the 8910(i) I'm now back to using an 8910 (the platinum version) and if there would be anybody who's interested in selling their 8910i's for a good price then, i'll say, it would be the upgrade that I've been waiting for..
just bought a second hand 8910i in perfect mint condition. currently using a treo 650 which i am perfectly happy with all the features. After only 2 day of usage, Ive retire my Treo and very satisfied with 8910i albeit with no bell and whistle to sing off. this is what all phone should be. simplicity and elegance. Love it.
this is truly a masterpiece created by nokia. the nokia 8910i doesnt need a 3.15mp camera or over 200k colours in the screen to be cool! i have a mint condition one still nicely tucked in its box from many years ago! i admire its beauty everyday haha man its becoming an obsession.
Yesterday i have bought all new 8910i. its best phone ever i had. You can call, you can send sms and it is made from TITANIUM. I was using nokia n93 and it is like other phones peace of plastic :))).
this phone was perfectly designed. i love it. the only thing that matter is the slider part, after 2-3 years, it ussually broke
Rabbit, this phone will not and will never work on US networks I'm sorry, you cannot find a way around this because trying to change the GSM bands in a phone is literally impossible and would permanently destroy the phone. It was built for European networks and other countries supporting GSM900/1800MHz, but unfortunately the US only has GSM1900MHz so this phone will not work.
Sorry mate :( Hope this helps.
How do you get this phone to work in the USA??? I'll do anything! lol, seriously though. I just bought one on ebay without 'doing my homework' and it turns out it will not work in the US because it's a GSM 900/1800 and the US is GSM 1900. Anyone know a way around this?
I just recently sold this phone, but it was very hard letting go because its been with me for more than 2 years and i remember paying a bomb for it and trading it with my then 8910. Now currently using 8800 which IMO better than the 8910i (obviously) anyway i kinda miss the darn thing still
This is a not-so-common model. I initially had a 8910 and then i switched to 8910i as i was addicted to this model. I'm still using this model and its been over 2 years+. In hollywood this model has been used and featured in movies acted by pierce brosnan, jack nicholson and jason statum.(You gotta watch closely). Now that explains the class of this model. I cant remember the movie names right now thou.
