Very good phone. In my opinion better then the bulky mama Nokia 9500. The only major gap between 9300 and 9500 is the camera and WiFi connection. But the camera of 9500 sucks anyway with no quality. Even the camera of 6230 is better comparing to the camera of 9500.
I had oppourtunity to use both 9500 and 9300. I will recommend 9300 always.Especially because of its handy size and weight. Yeah 9300 does from time to time become slow and hangs up but it is OK. The only thing that I need this phone to have is the compatability to read ' pdb ' files. Since more literature is available in pdb format.
Does anyone know any pdb to prc convertor program?

Have been using the 9300 for 2 months now, the more I use it, the more I like it. The best tool around in the field. Have beefed it up with 3rd party software and this in addition to EDGE gives me an ideal tool for remote managing all our systems if needed.
And a big plus for the camera being omitted. In my work I very often go to places where no camera equipment is allowed, not even phones with cameras.
the 9300 is a tool, the one who buys an 9300 for only fun and showing off will be disappointed, but if you need the raw power of the 9300, you won't be disappointed.

This smartphone impressed me highly. The many features of this phone and the fact that they work – internet, e-mail, synchronization with Outlook contacts and calendar, world clock, a converter (of currencies, temperature and length), modem, infrared connection, full qwerty keyboard, connection with Edge (G 2.5) – still excites me every time I use it. This, together with the bigger included memory chip, makes it a better phone than the Blackberry and smartphones of I-Mate and Motorolla.
This is the ideal instrument for the businessperson on the go. Previously I had to carry a cell phone and my Palm Zire. Now I only have to carry one instrument.
I also like the fact that it does not have a camera and all the other silly gadgets (strange ringing tones etc.) This classic, conservative style goes well with my style as businessperson.
My only critique: the Symbian OS does not synchronize as well with Outlook as the Palm OS. For example, it does not update changes I made to Contacts in Outlook on the handset. To overcome this problem, I on occasion delete all contacts and calendar entries on the phone and then synchronizes it again. I suppose the Microsoft Pocket Phone edition offered by Motorolla and I-Mate smartphone synchronises perfectly with Outlook, but it is nice to not always support Microsoft (and indirectly, the USA).

It is indeed the best phone in the market!!! If only it had vibration it would be perfect. I missed certain calls due to lack of this function. But overall best phone!! i dun understand how people rate 6 for the mass functions and the performance of the phone -_-

In my opinion take the 9300. The nokia 9500 camera sucks anyway and for your information the 9500 do not have vibrator as well. Ive used both and the 9300 looks and feels better. The 9300 is hands down one of the best pda-phone combination. Tied only with the o2 xda mini. Just my opinion. And also ive used it for 3 months, 0 hang!!!! haha

Actually i wanted to by new phone 9300 or 9500, but i don't know which one should i take.. coz both of it have thier owh advantage and this advantage..
Like 9300.. look definitely handsome.. but dun have buit-in camera and WIFI.. and no Vibrator.. oke i can sacrifies for camera coz i have digicam.. and vibrator coz it's just like notebooks cannot expose to vibration..
But if i choose 9500..include all function but i don't like the look.. the front face and alsi the key board.. and it looks like a little bit brick..
urgh plase.or i just take 6630.. but i'mma business people... till now i cant decide.. coz the price not much differ in Malaysia..
i wanna ask one question.. about the excel, i can just download it from phone - pc or vice versa.. is it true? what about the presentation? how can i conect my 9300/9500 phonet to the projector?? any one can give me explaination...
TQ

Nothing to shout about. It hangs, the PDA function is unbelievable SLOW and there is no vibration alert. Unlike a pocket pc PDA phone, this is the most unintuitive phone I have ever used. I had it for two weeks and I plan to sell it ASAP!
I'll try my luck with an O2 or Blackberry. The Nokia 9300 just doesn't make the cut.

As most people say that the disadvantage of 9300 is that there is no camera. But have anybody tried using the nokia fun camera pt-3 and transfer the image to the phone? Is it possible?? Because i found that nokia 9300 has pop port and the pt-3 supports all phones with pop port. No website ever mentions they are compatible though...
Has anybody tried it? Does it work? The quality of the pt-3 is better than in the nokia 9500 in my opinion.

You will never know when is the best time to buy a phone. It is a rapid changing market to ensure that the mobile phone companies keep lauching new models to secure their market shares and profitable. You hv to pay more for a new released phone so that you get to show-off your set b4 the new version is launched. If you buy 1-2 months after lauching, ya, you pay less but enjoy shorter show-off time. So, tell me when is the best time to buy? It took Nokia more than 2 years before they launch 9500 the successor of 9210i. Is this the best time to buy a 9 series? What if they lauch a new model of 9 series next week? You figure out, I really hv no idea, not at all...........continued.....
