i just bought this phone from ebay. I need to know what type of memory card goes on it and why do people format the phone??

Its a gr8 phone. I have been using it since 1 yr. So far no probs. Browsing is so cool with GPRS. Only slow on Wi-Fi. Its a nice phone.
