For music, yes, it is good for music and has a very loud speaker as well.
For internet, I won't recommend this; however, it has very poor handling of webpages. I recommend a Smartphone for that purpose.

There are Smartphones which are cheaper
than Asha 303, having better and more useful features (plus the advantages of installing additional productivity tools and apps)

Try to balance your priorities with the features of the phones you're looking at. Try not stay at one phone only, take a look around other phones at this price category, read their reviews and know their features.
Try not to be BRAND BIASED, 'cause you'll be only limiting yourself from the opportunities you can get from other brands.

The only advantage that I know that this phone has is it's 3.2 MP Camera, Loud music, and physical keyboard.
But in feature wise (Software) this phone really sucks.
No multitasking, no search feature in messaging. Poor web broswer. Very limited app (JAVA only).
One thing to note also, is since this is one of the FEW touchscreen S40 dumbphones on Nokia,
a lot of S40 apps are incompatible with this device (due to the lack of the physical left and right soft key, and navi key);
Well, actually, ALMOST ALL apps are incompatible with this device since there aren't many touchscreen JAVA apps
available (and not many will emerge, since developers are moving to Smartphones where integration is not that limited).
which is very annoying.

Anyway, all I can say is compare, compare, compare.

As far as I am concerned, as a user, as a customer, and as one of the owners of an Asha 303,
this device sucks and is not fit for that PRICE tag. What a waste of 1Ghz processor.

Nice phone. Working well. Excelent battery time better than nokia C3. If you want a budget phone buy this one.

You don't need to be a Globe or Smart subs, just like tried it says, yes it is illegal, however, I've been using it for almost 4 months now,the secret? you have to get into the system itself where the internet of every provider transmit, its hard to understand and explain, I just know how to do it, but I don't know how to teach it. It's really complicated one.
I suggest not to do what I did, because as they says "it's illegal" :{

hey people, are you sure this device can play outube videos in opera mini? because as far as i know opera mini does not support flash player..?

The secret of the APN settings is the "magic IP" (you can google it). i was able to do that twice, but it only took less than a week when the APN settings i found in the internet were fixed by SMART telecom. i didn't bother looking for the third time. this old number of mine might get blocked.

i dont know why my globe roaming number is not working on nokia asha 303... i know its a quadband type of phone... up to now it still doesnt have a signal...

i have also 5230 smart phone,good display and u can watch live tv by 5230
303 is s40 device

It has only 256k colours while in nokia 5230 which has 11000 price has 16M colours,so it's borring.
