Same battery as the N86, and yet a beefier processor and RAM.. and yet about double the longevity with one charge. Am I missing something or is S^3 a very battery-friendly OS?

> In reply to Ashman @ 2010-08-27 13:02 from ucII - click to readNo, it does make a huge difference. Ever over-clocked a GPU before? If you.ve done so, you should notice a significant improvement in performance for each 50 Mhz. Same applies for phone processors. Compare a 500 Mhz Motorola DROID & 600 Mhz HTC legend/aria, you'll feel the difference. BTW, the N9 will probably have the same PowerVR SGX 530 GPU as N900 if it runs on an OMAP 36xx chipset, or else it'll have SGX 540.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-08-28 06:42 from vp9i - click to readsony ericsson x8 has very soothing looks.. But the screen seems to be just a little small for watching videos.. Plus the android version installed at the moment is 1.6 which is very old. Unless 2.2/2.1 comes with X8 it's just not worth it, as it won't allow a lot of basic features like, bluetooth file transfers, flash enabled browsing.. Plus another drawback in X8 is it's got 1 widget/screen which gets annoying at times.. Plus android itself (even 2.2) is known to have video playback issues. Its not yet fully developed for multimedia features. Even the camera is just 3.2 megapixel and the UI of the camera is very basic. Android has the potential, but it's yet to make a mark, maybe Gingerbread (Android 3.0) be able to add some multimedia functionality and bring life to the OS.
If you can neglect the minor issues that I mentioned, its a good phone, and you do get the advantage of Android app store. And ya, the phone looks are really good..!

> In reply to 3araby @ 2010-08-27 08:35 from i2qL - click to readIn terms of CPU power, not a lot of difference in 450Mhz and 600 Mhz or 680 Mhz ones... if you see and compare desktop computers. Single or dual or quad cores make a difference. Now I wonder why Nokia is so stingy with memory (RAMs). Just throwing in a 512mb would have made so much of a difference. Now if it's GPU power you're talking about... what is the GPU used in this phone? I'm talking about the capability of Cell Phones to compete with Netbook computers.

> In reply to Ashman @ 2010-08-27 07:13 from ucII - click to readwhat are you nuts? X6 can hardly handle symbian 1. its too laggy and slow. NO WAY in hell it can handle Symbian 3.
X6 would have been better with a 600 mhz CPU and at least 256 RAM. the way it is is just crap. been using it for 3 months and already sick of it. need to upgrade.
