Hi guys,

I recently checked the E5 at the nokia priority store.
seems to be a great phone considering the features and the pricing point of Rs. 12,000(INR)
The only problem i could make from it was the camera has poor imaging quality. However the camera like any other nokia phone can be adjusted to give you a decent quality through its settings. However the camera quality is far better than that of the BB phones in a much higher price range.
The second problem is the the fact that it runs symbian which tends to hang from time to time. (I use the E52) However in the E5 there is an increased internal memory and 250 mb ram as well. hopefully that should reduce the problem.
In comparison to the BB phones in the same pricing, nokia offers greater value and features.

I am nor BB fan nither a nokia, but have used both phones a lot and I can say that BB is better in secure push mail only. Rest is nokia's priority now even push mail( not encoded though )

> In reply to ravi @ 2010-09-30 18:56 from vG6v - click to readIt seems that you haven't own symbian phones before.

For your information, symbian operating system is a power efficient OS. It is proven for many years of its existence that it can perform well with good battery back up despite of heavy phone usage .

Samsung and Sony ericsson are not leaving Symbian OS. They are still part of the symbian foundation.

Samsung and Sony Ericsson doesn't have any plans to choose symbian as of this moment. They are still observing how symbian^3 performs in the smartphone market.

There is a possibility that these two companies will use Symbian^4 in the near future.

> In reply to Bye to Nokia @ 2010-10-01 16:38 from utb0 - click to readAndroid era? Another funny argument of yours! Ha ha ha!

We cannot deny the fact that android OS is a good operating system. But it is not yet matured compared to symbian or windows mobile.

Android OS is a power hungry operating system. Did you know that android users are currently suffering for low battery performance? Yes, you read it right!

Android OS requires high processor that easily kills the phone's battery.

Android is another childish operating system. Google might think that their customers are children who are fond of looking for eye candy UI.

You're a symbian critic right? Let's see which OS will win at the end of this quarter. I think symbian foundation is in the right step now .

Good luck android! Symbian is now back in the competition!

> In reply to Bye to Nokia @ 2010-10-01 16:38 from utb0 - click to readBlackberry is 100 times better than Eseries? Ha ha ha! Are you kidding?

Blackberry OS is an ancient operating system. It takes many years for RIM to move to Blackberry 6 OS. Most of todays Blackberry phones uses Blackberry 5 OS which is very old compared to nokia e5's Symbian operating system with constant updates of its UI. Most Blackberry phones uses 65k color display unlike nokia phones with 265k and 16.7 million colors.

The user interface of Blackberry OS is very childish compared to the more sophisticated and graphic rich Symbian OS.
