if you would have read the other opinions you would have known how to fix the battery issue.
there's nothing wrong with the battery life. just the way you use the phone.
turn off your BT.

Have tried to fit a BL-6C battery but the cover does not close ! Help, the spec listed on this site recommends using BL-6C for improved life.

Have bought 2 weeks ago my E-50 lured by the "business phone" marketing image. Type RM-170 Model E50-1 Code 0536382 IMEI 351892/01/128649/4 Made in Finland, Battery BL-5C Li-Ion 0670400382066 N336K2TQ49605.
TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with the battery performance, only 48 hours of moderate talk (approx 1.5hrs) and minimal use of other features.
If Nokia marketing people think this is what a business phone should behave like then they are totaly wrong.
How is it possible to have a decent business travel without chasing airport personnel for compatible electric sockets or disturbing clients with your need to constantly keep phone charged ! and being afraid all the time not to miss an important call because the phone in dying out and cant charge it?????
I am now travelling with my old 6310i in the suitcase as a backup phone...
You are not going to get away easy with this BIG TIME DISSAPOINTMENT, I am advising all my friends/colleagues/customers NOT to purchase the E50 because they will feel deceived by promises without real cover !

u can copy u'r sms from one to another with the computer, using nokia pc suite, or using the sim card, copy some sms from 6600 to sim, and then from sim to e50, and so on and so forth untill u finish! it will probably take u some 10 or 11 times to do it, but it doesn't cost u a thing! (that's besides the electricity u will use to charge the batteries! :)

I'm not sure what you are complaining about. this is a business phone but you seem to be expecting it to be a multimedia phone. go get a N73 if you don't like the E50.

E50 so unaware that E70 was only recozniseable cell.Sambian should be on n smart or bigger models.why did Nokia added n 5500 or this when sound full screen pic or out dated camera 1.3 n 2006 is nightmare.Plus its slow speed boooting,Most irritating is the Font Size why cant it be increased because its sambian,a minor software upgrade can solve,but Nokia is deaf & dumb==========

Im going to buy this phone too.. today i went to cell phones shop.. I was keeping e50 in my hands.. this phone is ownz0r. In reality it looks mush better and smaller then in photos. Also, it fits hand perfectly.. i think that im buying this phone not only for its e series or cuz it has an OS, but also cuz it is small,good looking. Just one thing disapointed me.. Its screen isnt so big as i thought.. it is smaller then nokia other phones with symbian. but now its doesnt matter to me.. i like this phone and im, going to buy it :)
