Phone (inc. OS) got only once sluggish after a long long fun with first run of Nokia Maps.. But this was only this one time. It works perfectly and smoothly, no hangs so far, as if it was a reliable dumbphone :-) I've heard some other S60 phones have problems with browsing messages (few seconds lags), I don't have such problems with my E51
I need to know whether I can uninstall the programs I don't need in this phone or not. Even the program that already is installed from factory. Thanks for advice in advance.
does anyone know how i can install .sis files in this phone? if not, can anyone suggest where i can find decent themes? thanks. (:
HI, appreciate someone can help me, I have problem connecting to sreaming server while going to YouTube after i downloaded the mobile application from YouTube.
Could anyone tell me whether this phone hangs? I am planning to buy it this afternoon itself... A quick reply would be ton of a help for me !! Thanks
this phone is great so far.... I got mine only last Wednesday, and I'm enjoying it...i have already put in some games, I already can surf with it, and i'm beginning to adjust with the keypad...music is good, but I really got this phone for it's wifi & quickoffice capability... I haven't been able to make my pdf file run on it, so I still have work to do on that, otherwise, for the price i paid for it, it's all WORTH IT!!! THE BEST PHONE I HAD SO FAR!!!
Thanks to the Unknown Person

when playing a video on e51, press and hold up on the navigation button to forward, and down for rewind. and im not getting disstortion due to any of these.
reply for dhanu saud .
nah mate. has not happened to me yet. maybe someting to do with teh 3d tones?
and can some one please tell me how to use rewind and forward feature in this fone for vodeo files.
I owned E51 a month ago, and in my opinion it's really great phone. It's my first nokia and first smartphone.
One thing annys me.. I've tested HS-45, and many other music headphones (inc. Sony), there is a clear constant additive noise, quite disturbing while listening Audiobooks. So I use music headphones for louder music and for everything else -- box-included headset (much lower noise, but poor sonic exp.). It looks like it't a phone's fault. Plus, i haven't liked 2.5mm socket :-/
If you don't plan to change your headset after buy, it will NOT matter.
@ Faryal SHaKeeL
stronger battery has E61i (however many claims it is sloooow) And the microphone is really good, i can make a whisper calls :-) (my first phone i can do that!).. Sorry I haven't tested Ear piece volume in extreame conditions.. ;-)

To dhanu saud,
the buyer should be specific before he purchases a product. i mean if you're a businessman the E51 is the ideal phone for you which is available at a reasonable price with a lot of business oriented features. so it would be really useless if a person buys this phone who is more concerned about the sound quality and the camera. thats why nokia has introduced the N series.
but i have to say the camera quality of the E51 is not "crap"! i would say its perfectly fine for a 2mpxl camera even though it don't have auto-focus and a flasher.
and the sound quality is not bad either. its very good and properly loud considering with most phones in the market.
and as an E51 user i don't think if a person knows actually what he wants (if this suits him or her) and buy this phone they'll be disappointed and start hating it.
so what i'm asking you is when you're posting on this forum is to make sure you don't make a bad impression about this phone to other users and the ones who are interested in it. you statement was a bit like "the E51 is useless" or something like that. thats very unfair!
faster processor, more ram but sound quality & camera quality is worst. you will really hate it.
go for n95 8gb instead.

Hey all! I live in the U.S my phone is with T-mobile. Can I still use my VOIP? and how do I go about setting that up? I am eager to know! T-mobile charges me a $1 a minute for international calling. I have had the phone for two months now and I love it! Battery life is very good, features are great,WLAN works very well, love the one touch bluetooth and mute buttons!, very sturdy for those who tend to drop their cellphone often, sound is great when playing audio files, email is great! Its like a mini computer packed into a small yet cute little package! I usually am ready to buy a new phone every 3-5 months, but I plan on having this phone for a long time.
