from within the main menu, messages, press the options button, then sim card messages, within you may find a message not read or your memory is full; you may have to delete some msgs
the e55 is practically the same except with a half qwerty keypad. im assuming nokia made this so people had a choice. i would go for this one because i reckon texting would b easier since i've never used a keypad like th e55

I would say you are the unhelpful one. Point out where you gave clear and specific directions and I will concede.

* ... moreAnd what i you DON'T KNOW HOW TO UNLOCK IT because it was given to you unlocked and nobody told you it was different than most other Nokias? How about that genius? If he doesn't know how to unlock it he can't reverse the process to lock it now can he?
When people ask for directions they need to be given which buttons to push or specific steps...not vague comments about "the same way"

keypad can be locked the same way as how u UNLOCK it."
and hey, i myself migrated from a many years old MOTOROLA E398 too, u think i really don't know the confusion?
one would found it when they attempt to UNLOCK it, as the automatic keylock would force them to "learn" that key sequence whether they like it or not. bet that's how you learnt it too.
so stop pointing fingers at other ppl who is trying to help, and spend your time on other more constructive things.
you r nothing but an annoyance.
regarding to all concerned,
if your mobile is connecting automatically connecting try to check your email settings..

NOBODY in the shop new how and they all tried. You didnt give him any helpful info. You just said "the same way you lock it"....that's smug and not at all informative. HOW you lock it would have been informative.

My E52 is made from Korea. Its what it says at the back under the battery. So far the whole build is really good. To me the downside is the aluminum made cover. It looks like it's easily dented if an accident happens.
The other problem that I observed is that the video player seems to lag when playing mp4 videos greater than 1gb. I don't know why this is happening when the processor is already 600mhz. But in my 5800, playing videos even greater than 2gb seems flawless. No lags at all despite the 434mhz processor of 5800.
So far no other problems found. I'm going to test if I use core player in E52, it would still have the same result.
Seems like Finland phone much better than f/China or India, eventhough they have same standard QC. Any cooment?
Well, let's see...I bought this phone 31.st of December (shopping day :)) and here it is:
I loved the features, battery and lightweight BUT, yes there is big BUT about it. THE BUILD QUALITY...it says it's MADE BY NOKIA (not made in Finland or made in Hungary) and I think it means it's made in China although it doesn't say it is made in China...I don't want to say things from China are bad but this was not a good build quality.
first-aluminium frame around the keypad is too thin and it doesn't hold well...it goes left and right when you take the phone and when the thumb goes over the frame. it would't be a downside if there where not the strange sounds coming from the bad frame construction...simply it is too thin and when I spoke on the phone people told me that they hear strange "click" sounds. I have checked in other stores and all "made by Nokia" had the same issue with the aluminium frame. The frame is not fixed well or it is too thin to hold the front fascia. It started to be annoying and few other software issues made me to replace it for Nokia 6700 classic (silver-chrome) and this 6700 works perfect and feels solid perfect too. I hope other people will post similar issues to see if this "made by Nokia" E52 issues are the true downside of this long awaited phone.
