a question to Tutti Frutti,
i'm egyptian and i'm so interested in e52, all the reviews from various mobile sites about e52 are positive while most opinions from regular users confirmed bugs like death of the phone or bad call quality and i want to know if you had any of these problems because i'm afraid to buy it and face the same major problems.
Romeo where did u c the golden aluminium?Where r u fromI am asking cause my comment was 4 a fellow egyptian like me&I couldnt believe what he wrote about being Nokia Care, etc.
Hello to all my fellow Indians...
Nokia E52 and E55 is available in India though not officially but thru grey market which means...no bill no warranty....
i hope this helps....
by the way i am from New Delhi...
It would be interesting to calculate how many comments report bugs and dead E52s compared to flawless ones.
Obviously 1/2 or more than 1/2 of the E52 released are buggy.
There are a lot of bug related reports here and a whole lot more on NOKIA DISCUSSIONS FORUM.
I guess me not getting it right away is the best thing.
Mike, 20 Sep 2009For how long do you have it for?I have it for a month. So far so good. :-)
The E52 is the most controversial phone I have seen since the 6300.
I'm still eager to get it and run my tests on it.
I have been reading the reviews from the begining, I have also posted my 1st comment 2weeks ago, but still the specifications of the phone overtook my insecure feeling about buying this phone. I eventually bought the E52-1 (Made in Finland)1 month ago.
I am having issues like bluetooth handfree gets disconnected, phone switches off & on abruptly during & before taking a call,All contacts will not backup on the memory card etc etc.
I think as is with NEW phones in NOKIA these are bugs which would be rectified once the firmware update is available.
DOES ANTONE KNOW WHEN THE UPDATE WILL BE AVAILABLE or ANY OTHER RELIABLE SITE WHERE THE FIRMWARE UPDATE IS AVAILABLE???????????????????????????????????????????
Bought the E52 about a month ago in India for 18k it worked for a week and then suddenly just went dead, lost all my contacts not to mention business due to this. Sent the phone to Nokia Care and its lying there since the past month as they dont have the software to get it working. Have been a Nokia user for almost 20 years now but this is un-acceptable such poor service by Nokia. Cant beleive it. maybe Nokia should consider a recall of the E52 before they face lawsuits.
can u help me?
i like the spec in E52, but i hesitate 2 buy it because i'm afraid the quality is lower than my e51 based on the previous comments
should i buy this phone?

Amr Nassare u must be joking..Area Manager of Nokia in Egypt&u dont know how to get this phone?By the way I am from Egypt too&this phone is sold almost evertwhere here,I know cause I got mine from I2 shop,so go there& u will find it but only in Silver. It is also sold in mobile shops&with Raya guarantee or u didt know that too,it is made inKorea& so far so good.
on a day to day basis of using it for texting, web browsing and sending/receiving mail the battery can last for 5-7 days without recharging.
It has been 3 days since last I recharged it and 4 bars are still left.
16000-17000 (IND RS. )for this phone... i read so many complaints
Good lord, so many ppl wailing about how bad nokia or the phone is. Give it a few months the get the kinks out and stop buying phones that arent meant for your area. take a deep breath; the phones will be ok.
