If these idiots moaning about camera quality were THAT serio... moreHello, I'm one of those idiot kids asking about the camera quality. But regard, I am an idiot kid who RESPECT others opinions. Perhaps you should learn about that. Becuase you are the one who is behaving like a child here.
And this answer is for edvard too. If you do not want to help people with their questions please do not write anything.
In my opinion, asking about the camera quality is just a question more. Of course the main objetive in a mobile phone is talking but consider that nowadays, even journalists send their voice records, photos or videos taken from their mobiles so if I want to know if quality is bad or good I'm in my right to question it.
So tonight when you go to bed, meditate about what you want is not what people want and you must respect this.
Also I'm going to question again, for those who are owners of E52, tell their personal opinion about the camera. And if they could compare with other phones it would be great. Thanks!!
Marius, 19 Aug 2009Very poor quality. It freezes in middle of conversation. I bought it new, from the Nokia store... moreWhy would the people at the Nokia store berate a product they're trying to sell, not to mention one that hasn't even been released yet (E55)...
Sounds a little 'fishy', if you ask me.
Skip, 19 Aug 2009Why is ebay not a good place to buy ?"Why is eBay not a good place to buy?"
Erm... the fact that you can easily buy knocked off goods and then said conman has done a runner with your cash, never to be seen again.
It basically a more formal way of buying something from "Bob" down your local pub.
And trying to get a refund can be a huge amount of fun when things inevitably go wrong...
Buy from an official, registered business and they have laws to abide by. If not, you can easily make a claim (credit card) or take them to court, where you will win. At least that's what happens in decent countries like the UK and US...
So that's the difference.
For that reason, registered businesses will make damn sure they are buying their stock from reputable (and no doubt recommended and confirmed) suppliers as the penalties for selling dodgy goods are severe. It is also not in their interests - consumers aren't stupid.
Joe Bloggs on eBay couldn't care less and can easily get away with it. A registered business can't and it's pretty easy to spot dodgy e-tailers (i.e. no geographical address or tel number, scabby looking site, too good to be true prices, etc)...
The way you can tell that you have bought counterfeit is that build quality will be terrible, usually with the Nokia logo missing, features missing, retail packaging will look odd or just be a plain box, literature will look odd and be full of spelling mistakes and usually, the person selling the device will subtly let you know it is knock-off by only stating "E52" rather than "Nokia E52"...
Basically, I only use eBay for small, cheap items which are difficult or not worth selling on for a load of hassle.
If the items are genuine, they are usually more expensive than most other places anyway as ret*rds get carried away with the bidding and start paying silly money for things.
My advice would be use a reputable online e-tailor.
Saving yourself 5% is hardly worth a load of hassle. Common sense is important...

If these idiots moaning about camera quality were THAT serious about what they were preaching, they wouldn't be embarrassing themselves by banging on about camera quality on a mobile phone which, can I add, is a secondary feature, not the main feature.
I doubt they could tell the difference between a 2.3" and 0.5" sensor or which one would be better...
Sometimes I wonder if these people are confusing mobile phones with simple imaging devices.
They are aware the primary feature is for communicating aren't they?...
I think it's just kids wanting to play Top Trumps with their phones on the sportsfield...
carlo, 19 Aug 2009have been using for 2 weeks.
problems are :
- does not have function to highlite/marks p... moreOpera Mobile for Symbian S60 devices is NOT supported by the E52.
I learnt that the hard way by paying for it and then realising that it wasn't supported.
What does it do then? It crashes out all the time.
The only way you can stop it, is by pressing the "stop" button BEFORE all the images load. This stops it crashing as much. But it still crashes. And is hardly ideal. So I no longer use it, especially as the mini mouse cursor is essential and it doesn't display a lot of web pages correctly.
You also don't have the mouse cursor and other options are shaky.
Basically, don't bother with Opera for the E52.
Instead, put up with the browser that came with the phone or (better still), use Skyfire, which is exceptional, but eats through bandwidth like anything...

Marius, 19 Aug 2009Very poor quality. It freezes in middle of conversation. I bought it new, from the Nokia store... moreI think you might be buying a NOKLA E52 (nokla not nokia).
Because the Real E52 is ROCK!!!!!
Very poor quality. It freezes in middle of conversation. I bought it new, from the Nokia store, and after 7 days it stopped functioning. It could not be started, and I had to give it back to the store in service/warranty. The guys from the store said that almost 30% of the E52 and E55 phones sold came in service after 1-2 weeks, most with the same problem, it cannot be started.. They said that they send the phones back to the factory. Those models are just garbage
Michael, 19 Aug 2009Ebay is the wrong place to go if you are concerned about legitimacyeBay is just one place I'm looking, since the "Check Price" listings are also very limited.
And you act as if no "store" ever sold a counterfeit product.
My question stands for both eBay AND "legitimate" retailers. How can I be assured I am buying a genuine product?
Please be more helpful if you decide to answer a question. Otherwise, don't bother.
Got my E52 yesterday. Amazing device NO doubt . Just ONE thing that I dont like in it. The gallery view. I dont know Y nokia put disgusting gallery view of N series in the best seller E series.
Gallery view and organizing of the pictures and videos was so categorical in the E series.
I really hate this view in which you can not organize your pix n vdoz. If you put them in the different albums even then you can view them in the main gallery. NOKIA should fix it that if some pix or vdoz are moved to certain album then they should'nt be in the main gallery list.
Rest of the phone is mind blowing. The weight. The feel. Keypad. Battery performance is superb.
WELL DONE NOKIA

the e-series are business phones. The camera is not their priority. If you want great picture quality get a digital camera instead.
By the way, it costs 18.5k (php) in a nokia store.
have been using for 2 weeks.
problems are :
- does not have function to highlite/marks phonebook and messages list. so have to go to option of: mark all or mark (one item).
- when browsing go to facebook, it automatically restarting/rebooting
- after installed Mini Opera, when click to use it, automatically restarting/rebooting
Anonymous, 18 Aug 2009To all the real owners: Does the device come with a "made in China" tag ?No, but Made in Korea
Tutti Frutti, 18 Aug 2009To new owners canu adjust font size for contacts like with UI 40,please answer thanxNo, it can't.
Can anyone comment on the flood of Hong Kong sellers currently selling this phone on eBay? What is the real risk of getting a "knockoff" Nokia phone?
I've never purchased an unlocked phone before, so I am concerned about legitimacy.
Green and Red (call dial and call end) button are difficult to press...chack out.
