There are big issues with this phone reported by many users in Europe. Think many times before buying it !
anyone help me decide? which do you think is better?
golden aluminun or silver grey? coz i was about to purchase it, but they only have silver (gold was sold out fast)... so should i just go for a silver, since that's the one in stock right now? my main concern is whether scratches would be visible on either one of them..(i have an SE Xperia and the battery cover has a small, noticeable scratch already!!)

i just bought my e52 today, and it has already dropped 2 bars! what is wrong? i've read here that some of the users were using wifi for a day and didn't drop a single bar! could it be that there's something wrong with my battery? or should i drain it first and initial charge it for 4 hrs (that's what the seller told me)?
mobilefun.co.uk have it as being in stock tomorrow (sim only version) for £229
Download LightCtrl, Google it. Quite a good battery preserving app.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970"I wonder when is Gsm Arena putting up the review"
In my opinion indepth review would include battery talk/standby times.... BUT The Nokia E52/E55 standby time is about 30 days on paper..... then the review will be ready at least 30 days after appearing the phone on the market.... :-)
I just purchased the E52 and i sincerely think that it is much matter in terms of weight ,keypad size and speed.I do understand that if you are using the E51 then it will take a few times to get used to the slight different key placement.Otherwise this phone in everyway is a genuine upgrade of the E51

Regarding my question ab... moreHi IM,
Yes you can use your phone as a modem by connecting it through the USB cable, provided you get the right settings for GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA from your service provider. I am currently accessing this site from my PC with my old phone as the modem with speeds of only 512 Kb/s with EDGE. (Awaiting for the arrival of E52 so I could gain speeds of more than 3Mb/s with HSDPA.)
I have a Nokia E52. One bad thing have a nokia, gps signal is lost, and now he didn connectig to satelites. who can give asolution whats wrong?
Have you acquired the E52 yet ? If so I would like you tell me how you compare it to E51.
I currently have a E51 and it's the very best phone I have ever seen. Period!
Some people say the 600Mhz processor of the E52 doesn't live up to the expectations and actually does certain tasks more slowly than E51.
Some say the E51's build quality feels better and stronger.
Some say the E51's button layout is more intuitive and less prone to accidental presses and the list goes on and on.
These are things said from various people but I will quote one particular person upon ending this post.
POST from INDIANFELLA123:
"Had owned and been using the E51 since the past 1year. Loved the E51 and then read up on the E52. Was awaiting its arrival and finally when it arrived, I purchased it and ever since, have considered it as one of the worst purchases ever. Following are my pros/cons:
-Battery life doubled. It is now very impressive
-Has a flash and 3.2MP camera which takes decent pics
-Speed: said to be much much faster but not true. IMHO it is much slower at times.
-Buttons badly placed as wrong buttons often get pressed
-SIP profiles like Gizmo?!?!? Doesnt work like E51
-Flimsly back cover
-SMS and Email not under single messaging head. Very annoying!
-Basically a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!"
So JADE if you have hands on experience with the E52 share your experience and let us know the PROS and CONS compared to E51.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2009buy in germany http://shop.nokia.de/nokia-de/product.aspx?sku=5100870Its not jet available in Germany its only the reservation if it is available
you can make sure then that this device isnt selled out
before you want to buy it
of course it sucks when everyone is crying over the "come out date" but its better as to shut up and wait so long time
we are excited to see this device and have it in our hands and that make the peaple so impatient
i hope they wait not so long to release the black one
The E52 took 2 months to release after it's announcement AND it WAS released on time...even early compared to some previous Nokia phones.
It was announced in May to be released in the 3rd Quarter and Quarter 3 starts July and ends September 30th.
The E52 was released July 16th and yet so many people were crying saying it was taking too long to release prior to it's release.
Many times I read the cries and just had to shake my head. One person said they got tired of waiting and purchased another brand. That person was just being stupid and obviously doesn't know the different quarters of the year.
This phone was released in a shorter time than I expected.
It was released on time.
E52 launched in Singapore for 535 SGD or 373 USD (incl. gst). When will it be available in India?
IM, H, 07 Aug 2009Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small problem, after first time turned on... moreHi i had the same problem when i got my new E75 with my old sim but as soon as i got sim update from the network(they gave me new sim) for the phone the problem was solved . Regarding my question about to get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer, sure I was not mean to use my mobile as a USB modem.
Sure I have PC desktop with 21” screen, and fast DSL Internet, but the aim of my question not to replace my E52 screen by 21” screen, sure no body will do it, but since many applications inside E52 like MAPS, GPS, file on ovi, Traveler, and more require internet connection, and since I want to try this applications, so I need internet connected to my E52, and I was thinking of a way to get internet to my mobile through my DSL connection, I think the best way to buy wireless router and to plug it beside my DSL modem,
But still I want to know if there is possible way to get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer and this computer is connected with DSL internet….( I think the answer is no)
