Definitely a replacement for my E51. I think, I'm gonna be using my credit card for the first time in my life! They shouldn't have removed the iR port, though... Product of a great mind still!

looks like one hell of a phone. the half qwerty is a brilliant idea by nokia. the full qwerty on a small screen nokia makes it quite congested keypad like the E71. The half is just perfect. i am already using an E51 and like the design, E55 promises to be even better. Any idea when Nokia is launching this in Dubai?

10.2 Mbps DL, 2 Mbps UL & Lot of Stuff 4 Data Transfer (Who Need IR Now ;p) ......... It's 4 Work Any Time Any Where.
It can Replace my E51 for a better connection on data transfer.
Well, If Someone Need Phone for Walkman or DigiCam or Watch TV, they can buy SE W-Series (I use as Walkman Only, not for Comunication ^_^ ) or Samsung (It display good/nice Picture too look at than the real Pic i catch with the cam ;p ) or Chinese Phone With TV Analog (Who like To Watch TV Every where :D )

I don't think there is a bigger Nokia fan around than me but one major let down in my opinion is the removal of the dedicated CONTACTS KEY.
That was a marvellous idea because no matter how deep you were in the menus, no matter what you were doing and no matter which program you had running...you could always instantly bring up your contacts by pressing that dedicated contacts key.
For some reason Nokia decided to let the Calendar and E-Mail key remain and remove the Contacts key...I just don't understand Nokia sometimes.
Regardless, the specs. sound good on paper and I may just get it for the record.

> In reply to sunny @ 2009-03-08 22:15 from PSd9 - click to readAnother Nokia basher! Get a life man! The E55 is a Business phone not a do everything multimedia wanna-be. I have used touch-screen fones(LG Viewty) and I text alot, my next phone will have a dedicated touch-pad. I have used Symbian & Windows Mobile & I much prefer the Symbian OS. For it's intended market niche, this fone has great specs! And at it's expected intro price of €265, it's about 100-120 cheaper than the Omnia. It's also totally thin & pocket friendly!
