You should be connected to wifi, before starting the program. This was a major limitation for me to continue using Nokia maps instead.
This phone is amazing. Just one problem that text messages/sms cannot be backed up. When inbox gets full, more incomming messages are not received unless a few messages are deleted first. If it had the option to transfer messages then it would be a great phone.
I tried installing Google Maps on my E6, but is does not open. Reinstalled, but still problem persists. Is there anyone who used G Maps on E6 successfully for positioning?

For the other differences you can use GSMArena's side by side comparison feature to find out.
I too have a E73 but before I got the E73 I was contemplating the E6 but after analysing the situation I realised I was better off getting the E73.
I love this phone called Nokia E6, presently am using nokia E73, what is their different so that i will know which one to go for. Pls help

I own a E6 for about 2 years; I've updated it to Belle, use it's map + Farsi navigation, email, PC suite, etc. in Iran. My problem is I cannot use Nokia Store via my mobile (it's OK via PC) and some services (like: Nokia Transport, Nokia Weather, Nokia Music, etc.). Also there is a Belle Refresh firmware released for that, but seems it's not yet available in Iran. Other updates have become available (like some new widgets, new email app).
Anyway, I agree to some extent with you that Nokia has limited some of their services to Iranian users (which is not fair because Iranians are their majority users in the Middle-east), but there are still many services that are available for use.
Totally I'm really happy with my phone; it really worth it's price!
I am an Iranian user and I have an E6 for 1 year.
I don't like Nokia...
Nokia wont allow the Iranian users to use PCsuit, Nokia map, Email and anything on internet. it's suck!
and the keyboard is removed!
I am using E6 for a quite a long time. It is a good phone. The speaker output is very less (for ringer and using on speakerphone). is there is way i can increase sound of speaker? please advice.
I am using this phone past 2 years but bad thing about this phone is the Battery life is bad.
I have a e6 that is not even 12 months in use.One morning I want to turn on the wlan and the screen whent black, even if I remove the battery for a while and install it again still no response. The shop that I got the phone from is nearly 400km away from me, so to take it back will be costly experience plus the repairs then. do I basch it to pieces with a blund opject. having problems since I got the phone.
want to buy this phone, currently have an e5 which is very nice but this is better lookin and very unique plus has stainless steel meaning it can realy last a long long time.
My software is belle refresh, i think it only works with symbian anna cause i have seen people using it. It connects both yahoo messenger and facebook at thesame time.
I can't install yahoo messenger on my e6 it keeps on saying expired certificate, how do i solve this problem? I don't like the IM chat on the go on ovi store.
