i've been using E71 for years, i tried the E72 once available but i was extremely disappointed and rollback to the E71.
5 days ago i got the E7 and i didn't like the idea of fixed internal memory or battery although the phone itself shows me a white screen several times when starting the phone and restart it several times so i took it to the dealer and exchange with the E6 and i couldn't believe this amazing phone.
it is a real step fwd for nokia, the OS is extremely nice no hangs no errors nothing at all but smooth usage and all features required is available and more.
i would highly recommend this phone for business and internet users.
wow... an update already provide by nokia via ovi...use ur pc guys
all reviews on nokia E6 said that it has a good battery life. I have used a blackberry 9780 & it is worse than that. BB lasted me till late evening but E6 doesnt last me beyond afternoon with a full charge.
Any comments / suggestions.
I'm not sure if I should buy the Nokia E5 again or the new E6.
My E5 was stolen a couple of weeks ago. I was really pleased with it, it was great for messaging, was user friendly, had a great battery life and it was a looker.
Will I be even more pleased with the E6? I mostly use it for social networking, messaging and basic surfing (when needed, I can switch to my Android Tablet).
The battery life concerns me most.
HeavenBlade, 01 Aug 2011I think you should go for Nokia E6 over the blackberry Curve 9300. Specs wise E6 is way better... morethe battery is good. I think the people who are having a battery backup problem is because the wlan scanning. It is set on as default. It should be turn off to have a big battery life.
im thinking of getting this phone. does this phone have a nokia facebook app or do you just use the web versin ? for a person that texts & always on facebook is the e6 or the n8 better ?
I think you should go for Nokia E6 over the blackberry Curve 9300. Specs wise E6 is way better while the price is almost same as that of the Curve 9300. Nokia should give a better battery back-up, though I would need some confirmation on this statement.
Should I buy a Blackberry curve 9300 or the E6....?
E6 costs 5k more than the Nokia but I think that is worth it.
joy, 29 Jul 2011i am new for E6, i am using GPRS for net connection, but i am not able to open OVI stre and... moreperhaps you are using the wap service of your service provider. Use the internet service instead.
madmiths, 31 Jul 2011Thank u ,,, one more thing ,jave softwars or games will suport in E6??What type of software? If you mean Facebook games, no it cant play. FB games needs high internet speed to play, internet speed on mobile at my location is slow. It's supposed to be a business phone after all.
I can of course play the games downloaded from Ovi Store.
It can play youtube videos, from both the in-built youtube site or Opera Mini. It can show sports livescore (tournament software)without needing to download any additional apps
vinu, 28 Jul 2011how is nokia e6 perfomance and battery life Dont think abt btry bak up btry bak up is towice betr than other mob..
ironandrei, 31 Jul 2011No, it's not better than the E5. I also bought this phone because I was impressed with the ... moreYou people are so annoying......When a company seels 16 million units a year, you can expect a few of them to be defective, dont condemn a company just because of a single unit. Agreed, the notification light is not powerful, but the phone is very good over all.
I love E6. Except it is being stubborn on 1 thing, the WLAN scan refreshes every 5 secinds or so. How do I turn the wlan scan off? I already tried the following:
(1) from the homepage (widget) > Disconnect WLAN
(2) from Settings > Connectivity > Connection Manager > Disconnect WLAN
(3) from Settings > Connectivity > WLAN > Disconnect WLAN
(4) from Settings > Connectivity > WLAN > Settings > Show WLAN Avilability: Never
(5) Settings > Connectivity > Settings > Switch to WLAN: Manual
BUT still the scanning refreshes every 5 seconds or so. How do I turn the WLAN auto-scan off to save my battery life?

Thanks a lot for your bold comments. :-)
I am using E5 (not E6). This phone is great... moreNo, it's not better than the E5.
I also bought this phone because I was impressed with the E5, but the notification light is almost in-existing, the vibrations are almost not remarkable and it freezes when i Manage installations (install or uninstall) I think of giving it back. And I'll never buy a Nokia again.
They didn't even answer me if there's going to be a fix. They don't care about me, the paying customer!!!
