i think this phone is very good but i dont like this phone shape. i also not sure that this handphone got camera or not.can anyone tell me that this phone got camera.please, thank for cooperation
This phone is very good and attractive, almost same as Blackberry but lack of camera. As for me, like other bussiness user accessing the email and put appointments is a must in my daily use of PDA, but i also need a camera to take pictures of projects sites and now 3G for making video conference to my client and bussiness partner. Maybe i have to wait E61i or another series to have this kind of phone in camera and 3G video call. Now i'm using SE Z800i and another P910i for my daily use andlokinfor P990 to put all the task of my current phones (p910i+z800i).Not just like some OTHER said in his/her post:- SE phones are use to show off.
what a phone...fat & skimish.now days people want 3g phone.no wonder this phone will be corrupted.
This phone is for Blackberry/business users, not average Joe. Business users don't want/need a camera. There is plenty of other options that cater that need. I am confident this phone is attractive to current Blackberry users.
Looks Graet, but for today every phone suport 3gnet , i think miss something in this case E61: Camera & Radio
i hope next model have it...!! like E61i
It seems that a lot of people in here are only interested in big shiney tarty phones that do everthing, and not phones that aim towards a specific market!
As a sales person for a mobile network we get a lot of people interested in blackberrys. The main reservation they have about getting a blackberry? "I'm used to my nokia..."
Nokia hit the nail on the head! A phone for the high end business user, finally upgrading from their 6310i to the latest technology.
My standard business customer doesn't care about a camera! Fast access to their emails, yes! I think this phone is going to be a massive seller. The sony ericsson p800, p900 and p910i although designed for business, went more for to the trendy crowd who wanted to show off. So for those of you who want a business phone to show off with your shiney red car and sacks of money, go for the p990, every real business user will be going nokia!
Did anyone notice it had quad-band+UMTS???
Oh, and businessmen don't need cameras as they are forbidden in many places...
you people really havent noticed the 16 million colors screen don't you?, its really a nice phone better than the rest also blackberry mail is nice and slim its 14 mm thick just mm more than razr
Nokia always made such phones which have lack of one or two facilities i.e some times F.M Radio, Camera and Upgradation of OS to stand its position. I sure that the upgradation of Model E61 will be available with Camera's. I Hoped and I sugguest my friends who want camera in this phone please wait for next comming of updated model may be E62.

first the design is cool, yet very disturbing. you'll have to input info with the use of those keys (in qwerty format). i have to agree with bruns, TOUCHSCREEN ROCKS! it will exert you a lot of time effort using that phone...
I also notice that the name E61 has become alphanumeric. Yes indeed, Nokia is now admitting that their model name calling using numbers is very confusing! I don't know anymore which is which when someone says 3230, or 3320, or 7710, or 7210. I don't know if there is a 6920. Now they have learned to use alphabets. Take for example Siemens' way of model names that are very easy to remember and neat. SL45,SL55,SL65,SL75...very neat and easy to the ears. Nokia is now finally learning. Congrats!
At first look, Nokia seems to have something new. But as you gaze at it longer, it is no different from most PDAs and organizers we have in high school. It's actually more of a calculator. Imagine holding it in your ear when making a call. It will look more as if you are trying to commit sucide by knocking your head off with a brick. The phone concept has totally been disregarded. Truly funny! THe design sucks!
Guys, pls pls pls pls pls realize that, Even though this phone has 16M color, where's the TouchScreen? I have used P800, 900, 910 and HP Ipaq 6515 before, oh yeah, and Treo 650. I tell you what, Touchscreen rocks. Nokia, where is the touchscreen? (pls, don't flame me, from what i read in the specs, it doesnt say Touchscreen.) and E-series. Wow, is Nokia trying to use A-Z series? Nice Nokia, just keep coming up with new models. Other than that, Guys, pls pls pls pls realize P990 is the next big thing.
