used the e61, was quite happy with it.. but i would be complete with the jog dial...i very useful when in scrolling.....
a very good feature in blackberry n se p990
nevertheless.. an improved over the earlier version though no surprises.

Hi all. i from country of india and I love nokia the e61i. i buy an e61i mobile using my pocket money. an e61i phone look verdy verdy good, size also verdy small and pocketable when i wear a jean. i show off to my friends using an e61i.
I have three word for these phone, WOW.

i think it's a fair addition. an update to a popular model from two years ago, launched at the same price with a couple of nice upgrades (camera and longer battery life amongst them).
the phone also looks to be thinner than the e61? as an owner of one myself (e61) i'd say there are no real downsides with this phone (aside from the width!)

Finally you ve incorporated Camera in E61i!!!
Was waiting to come this model with camera but forcefully stopped myself,cos paying higher cost without camera was not diagestable.
Now awaiting the stoks!

The joystick only limits you to 4 ways, plus the selection, its not like a fully rotational joystick, so it would be crap for games, and if your upgrades only consist on 1 feature then your wasting your time, a joystick isnt as durable as the new directional buttons on the E61i, and you can still do proper video call on the E61i with the rear camera, so what are you complaining about?

i owns E61, but with E61i spec, don't think i'll do the upgrade. my most wanted feature for the update is increase the screen resolution or FM radio if it has either one i'll do the upgrade...
a phone with back camera and without a front camera? for a 3G phone i prefer front camera to back camera...
design very okay. but no joystick makes playing games difficult. if havent owned E61, i'll buy E61i, but since i've owned E61, won't do the upgrade.

i cant believe this phone does not have a secondary camera which i use regularly. its a shame that feature would have made it the perfect phone.

to answer a few questions here..
the internal memory cant be changed, to expand you will need a memory card..
and there is no secondary camera, the E61i does have the video call function but only allows you to view the other person..

Hi! E61i has a shared memory of 60MB, while E61 has a memory of 75MB. Is there any way to increase RAM or once the phone is manufactured, the RAM is fixed. A reply would be greatly appreciated.

E61 has no T9 indeed, i doubt e61i will have it.. I talked with Nokia care, they said they don't install T9 in QWERTY Phones. Its so sad that this powerful phone, doesn't have T9, it will have make typing sms and docs faster. (specially with the keypads so hard to press) Will everyone who uses T9 make a post for this request at the Nokia website. I just did...
