u cnt use 4GB card on E61i. 2GB is maximum support on E61i.
If u want more memory go for iPod Classic 80Gb or 160Gb :)
Have a nice day!
There were some info in here regarding a 4 GB micro SD card. The specifications clearly say that this one supports up to 2 GB. Still: has anyone succeeded using a full of 4 GB card?
Hi guys !
Any information on the successor of this E61i, the upcoming Nokia E71 liam ? Thanks a lot in advance.

hey guys, Im thinking about buying this phone or the n82. Im not very sure.
The most important is that i desire a large screen (minimum of 2.6 inch).
I know that the N82 has a smaller screen.
Can any of you advice me a good phone...(no htc)
I have had mine now for about three months, and messaging, which is my primary and cheapest form of communication (I'm a student), is now an absolute breeze!
Main problem for me is that the phone tends to be rather slow sometimes, I end up pressing the red button just to go back to the main menu again!
The other issue for me is that I have over 1300 images on my memory card, and unfortunately scrolling through them all isn't as easy as my previous N73 which had a brilliant album. So now I have had to name all my images and trace them that way. I mean, scrolling down from the top to image number 675 will take all day!
Last issue was the upgrade from the Nokia website - for some reason the Blackberry launcher placed on my memory card doesn't want to install, it spits out that problem everytime I restart my phone and slows me down tremendously, but last night I formatted my card, so problem fixed.
can anyone tell me how is the internet use on this phone ?
i brought this phone in the month of OCT 07 and it is working fine, i use it for a lot of stuff, like browsing, watching short movies extra and it is working fine i really love this phone...
I also have this phone and I have to say it's not slow...just cause the specs tell you a certain cpu speed, it doesnt mean its slow. The symbian platform is just amazing because its simple. I have friends taht use smartphones that run Windows Mobile OS, and they all have to reset their phone about once a week because it screws up. This is an amazing business phone, especially if you know how to use it. If you take the time to read the manual and listen to what people say on forums, you will get the maximum benefit. If you want msn, yahoo, or skype, you can download a program that lets you do use these...nimbuzz.com. And its totally free.
I do have a question for people though...are those who have this phone unable to open files that are from the MS Office? ie have the extra x at the end of the file name? If so is there anything to download to fix this?
Thanks
i really like this phone i have not bought it yet can anyone tell me if this is a good choice to be made
thanks zee
i advice you to buy E61i because there are some features in this phone that is very important than the motoQ8 and Q9. P1i is a good phone, touchscreen and has a wifi also, but the screen is so small.
I had this phone (e61i) for a year now. I dropped it like 8 times already. I sleep with it beside me and usually woke up with it under my pillow. When I work and I work in a hospital where things can get chaotic, I put it in my breast pocket as a portable mp3 player to relax me. And i use it to watch Divx or 3gp formatted movies from time to time, usually porn stuff or wholesome ones.
It never let me down. The battery is freakin' awesome. Never experienced even once running out of power. The large 2.8" screen is simply glorious. I have downloaded a lot of pictures so I can browse it with this phone. You say it's large? It's only wide but it's surprisingly slim and sturdy. When you place it in your back pocket, it's practically invisible. When in the front pocket, it just looks like you have Ipod in your front pants.
Most of all, everytime i brought it out and fiddle with it in front of other people, they usually give this impression like you have a wierd phone or that you must be rich to own one.
It's not slow as long as you don't use the memory card to store all your messages. Use the phone's memory in storing your sms messages but use the memory card in storing your music and pictures.
'Till now, I still love this phone. The best phone I ever had. And I had a lot (n95, n82, 1100, k800i, w810i, n70, n73, n80, 5700 expressmusic -do i need to enumerate more?). I still own all these. But I never go out without my e61i. That's how much I like it.
Away toooo big!
