I have been using this handset from past 2007 and its an excellent phone. So far it has given me no issues inspite of multiple drops and damage, the phone is still working fine at its best. At times its slow but even that can be sorted by a complete Software reflash.Its a great phone !!! i agree and u?

i downloiaded chess lite on my e61i saved file on card but deleted the file by mistake.now when i redownload it refuses to save the file saying it already exist and when i choose to replace the file it refuse.in the phone the file exists in the memory when u seach but it cannot open.help me

From your post you seem very familiar with the mobile I just purchased a VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW one and I have notice the same issue as you it usually lags would you recommend to delete any thing from the mobile phone i.e apps,screensavers etc... Any advice would be highly appreciated.Thx in davance mate

The phone is actually both low and high end in my opinion. It feels SO great in my hands! I've mainly been using Opera Mini, Fring/Nimbuzz and an eBook reader on mine for nearly 6 months now and I've not regretted my 60€ decision even once!
Since it's Symbian it's great! You have so many choices with it, I'm occasionally running my Python scripts, which I need for boosting my work performance.
The impressive part of this phone is the battery. The web browsing and reading puts me to sleep before the battery drains.
The keyboard and screen layout could be a little better, there's some free space at the top and bottom, so a bigger screen could have been fitted there.
I've noticed some lag when moving in menus (I get it, E61i only has 64Mb of RAM and 2xx MHz of processing power), but Symbians' Easter Egg magically fixed it, menus were much faster after that. If you haven't heard of it, then Google for "S60 speed hack", it involves the calendar application.
I've had quite many phones before E61i (LG Arena and LG Renoir were the most recent - dumb I was when buying them), Nokia 6230 was the only one that I really liked, pity that it broke down.
