Nokia E61i - user opinions and reviews

Nokia

Like all Nokia E-Series models, this one has a major handicap: The earpiece pulls and cuts one`s ear`s hair and beard... and it hurts like hell!
Why does Nokia insist in this earpiece design for the E-Series?

It does not support Vodafone live. You get text only and no graphics. I have set the setting in setup to show all but still nothing. Does anyone else have this problem? I was hoping to watch live TV.

I have just had a swapout of my faulty E61 and got an E61i. The problem is that I was told to keep my memory card and battery. E61 used Mini-SD and a BP-5L. E61i uses Micro-SD/Transflash and BP-4L so I can't use the phone at the moment. Vodafone can't get hold of the E61 as replacements and don't have any BP-4L batteries. Same goes for nokia.co.uk's website with no batteries available as spares. Not good...

The email key does not work right. I have configured the email key to open Blackberry Connect but when you press it,it launches the web browser and takes you to the Nokia Business Website.
There is definitively a software bug connected to the email key.
I am not the only one with this problem.I have read many reports about other E61i user's with the same problem.

Does anyone knows if the E61i can have to-do tasks with description (long text) instead of only subject ?
This was the issue of E61 and I need to know if they had fixed this on this phone.

if you want to download the messenger, go to www.agilemobile.com ;find your telephone number. And download it to your computer. Then send the file to your cell phone. This is not for free, you have to pay for it. But believe me,it is awesome. you can chat just like you are acostumed with the famous messenger!

All my good people, will anyone be kind enough to educate me on how to install instant messenger apps especially Yahoo? I feel I'm seriously under utilising mine at the moment. I hate to log on to Yahoo messenger thru the web services as it's very much annoying chatting that way. It's just the GPRS and WLAN I utilise for now.
Thanks.

Can E61i create Excel / Word doc? If not, can we save an old file to a new one, then edit the new one and save it as a new file?

YES! Unlike older Nokia phones, this one will let you listen to your music through your bluetooth headset if it's connected. If you want it to switch over to loudspeaker mode, simply disconnect the bluetooth. I can only guarantee that this will work with a Plantronics 340 bluetooth headset, which is what I have. I'm sure it'll work for any bluetooth headset, though!

Hey (karyna), the e61i has GPS?? You said, "I have yet to exhaust all of its features, though, but those features that I have explores, Quickword, GPS, camera, messages, web, etc., are great"

This phone is quite the number...being an extraordinary, embellished piece of device, any wizkid could ask for.

However, please don't patronize Nokia as they make cheap quality phones that have nice exteriors, but garbage interiors.

The processors date back to what Sony was using five-six years ago. Dont patronize mainstream brands....but instead, get high-quality, value-for-money phones that will last a lifetime and customer-supportive, such as Pantech (short for Panda-tech), VK Mobile, Qtek, and of course, Bird (also known as Flytech in certain countries) phones.
