for the first charge mske sure the battery goes as low as possible then charge the battery
4 max. 6 hours[depend on the life of battery] is enough to charge the battery. By over charging you can damage the battery.

I have two Unit of this phone for about 3 months now. Alot of problem with this phone. Very low Battery life..... Both been at Nokia service center once and have problem with Auto slide to answer phone or unlock after they back break again. The light on key board no come on as part of same problem when it is dark......whe nconnect to PC does not not charge as E51 no do too......USB connection to phone keep show disconnect with Nokia Suite....... I a mgettign very frostrated with the phone. I did not expect to see this from Nokia. Phone has a quality and preformance problem.

I had N76 which was pilling and freez all the time and then problem with key board of N82. I am really considering switch phone to another brand soon and no more Nokia.

Hi, can anyone help? Every time i try go to my music player and gallery it says" USB connection in progress" but I haven't connected my phone to my lap top????? it wont allow me to access any of my my tracks
Any ideas?

I just bought this phone yesterday (12-Oct-2008). Everything is great! But there is one problem, it does not play video smoothly! I use Nokia Video Manager to convert video to play with it. I set the high quality video.

I experience the this issue with Nokia N818GB, now I face the same problem! The video play with Jam then Go then Jam........

Hi all. I've bought my E66 today.
How long should I charge this phone for the first time?4 hours or 6 hours?Should I empty the battery which is usually left for new phone first?
I asked that 'couse there were many different suggest from the store even the technician.
Different brand n different phone type sometimes told different suggest too.
please help me.

Anyone hv problem wif the keyguard activation for opening/closing the slide?

It was working fine until the day i tested the manual keyguard activation by pressing the top left and right buttons. Now sometimes it works sometimes not.

guys need help sooooooooooooooooooon my E66 keeps on restarting itself from a while I don't know what happen may be a virus people said format it so I made format couple of times still doing the same ?????

Still need to test the battery, but so far, I can say that it is great. The speaker isn't as bad as most people make it out to be - I had it on, and I actually had to try to turn it down (I find Volume 1 loud).

Vibration could be a little stronger though - rather weak in your pocket and on the table.

E71 has bigger battery, 1500mAh compared to 1000mAh which logicaly means longer battery life, screen is slightly smaller on E71 but it's a wide landscape screen so you hardly notice, other than that and the keyboard there ain't any differences.

I'm undecided on which phone to purchase between the E66 and E71. Can anyone tell me what the E71 has that the E66 lacks - besides the keyboard? thanks

I just have purchased E66 last tuesday (oct.7, 2008) and to tell you the truth.. I SO LOVE THIS PHONE NOW! :) With their unique design and sophisticated style..love it!

Since I don't want super dooper big fones like N96 or N96, I guess I'm satisfied with E66 because its flat (I can always put it in my pocket everytime I'm on my duty at my hospital. :)

The WLAN connection is fast and easy, the keypads are not that hard to press, I have also tried watching videos on youtube and guess what.. I never encountered any problem on it.. videos were continuously playing from the time you press the "WATCH THE VIDEO" it wont give you a "hang".

iN TERMS of the battery life..? yesterday i charged my phone until it reached fully charged around 3pm, since its new.. I explored all the features of E66, and like what i've said.. i went at yahoo/yahoo messnger..checking my mail.., fring (calling out my friends), friendster, youtube, zedge (downloading ringtones, wallpapers, themes etc.), google! etc! that was all night long! and believe it or not... the battery lasts for 12 hours!! now its 3pm again...my E66 is off, charging..safe and sound :)

I REALLY LOVE IT! ITS SO HANDY! BEAUTIFUL! AND ..AHH! NOTHING MORE TO SAY!! :)
