well, meanwhile the e71 is an excelent handset i'm sorry that i can't say that about e66. i'm very disappointed with the e66 and wouldn't recommend it at all.battery is awfully weak! just did a fware update and now the phone keep crashing...that was an issue with N series, but E series???Once again : a big disappointment.

I recently checked out both the E71 and E66. Though both are touted to have the same hardware, the E71 was noticeably more nippy, while the E66 was slower in response. Further the displays were also very different, even when the brightness was set to the same. Here again the E71 stood out over the E66.
However the build quality of both the phones were definitely notches above most other phones, and you really feel that you have a sophisticated phone with you.
One feature i was keen on was the Macro mode which i use as a scanner in an emergency for documents. However compared to my phone i had at that time a Sony Ericsson P1i, the Macro mode with autofocus was in simple terms bad, and you have to try many a times to get something close to a readable image. This might also explain why the business card scanner rarely works on the new E71, while the Sony Ericsson P1i was 90-95% accurate!

This phone nokia E66 is one of the best phones that gives you any features looking for in a phone.
but it seems its battery does not last more than 1 day excluding playing any multimedia. just phone call and receive.
what can I do

Hello,
As a feedback for using this phone, I shall say it is built with great materials, cold, but very resistent and no plastic ALMOST at all.
The baterry lasts about 2-3 days, that depends on how you are using it - phone or multimedia applications.
Good camera, 3.2 MP with autofocus, and a good definition too.

> In reply to boud @ 2008-11-06 16:46 from pWHe - click to readI've seen in Nokia forums that the problem you are experiencing may be caused by magnetism from the closure on a phone holster. Are you using a holster to carry your E66? The E66 uses a magnetic switch to sense whether the slide is open or closed and can be affected by the magnetic closure on a carry case. Try swiping a magnet around the E66 phone. This has resolved the problem on other peoples E66 phones. Let us know how you get on...
