wht wud it do without a memory slot .. ?
loses on tht front.. damn essential as a backdoor when ur fone gets formatted ..
Its an amazing phone..... biggest drawback is no card slot. You have smart phone and all hightech feature and if no memory then what is the use?
Anonymous, 26 Dec 2010the last company that have their own OS, and use Windows already gone. I was a fan of Palm ... moreI don't know what to believe, but I know that the WP7 OS is NOT a cool looking OS, I hate it! Android is much better.
zamir, 27 Dec 2010is thiz a good phone?better than N8?Sure not,
if only if Nokia E7 has got Maemo 5
it would be better...
One Big mistake is "Symbian OS"
Nokia will die on Symbian disease
Nokia will resurrect only with Meego
and nothing else...
So for now, Nokia N900 Rocks
Full user manual of E7 just went online today and I guess its broad market availability should be around mid January 2011.
[deleted post]and the asking price is estimated around 700USD maximum, or 640EUR for what that`s worth :)
It so seems that the rating sistem isn`t so effective anymore; i`m just saying this after reading thru half the comments. I can only imagine that the voters are the same as the people that post comments. Now here is the thing: i`ve been using Nokia phones since 2210 I think, and went thru over 25 different models, all finnish, hungarian, german or romanian made. So,680Mhz is enough, the N97 is stable now thanks to the firmware upgrades, "no card slot" is a bold and good move, 16Gb is more than enough, Symbian is and will remain on Nokia phones for at least the next 3 years, doing nothig else but getting better, all the rumours about iPhone climbing up are just sales adverts; this phone, built as it is, deserves a 9 on all scales; I can easily predict it to rise at the level of the N95 by the end of 2011. Till then, all the best and stay healthy :)
miconi, 26 Dec 2010but i think the android os knocking on the nokia door, i think on the nokia side is not comfor... moresteve wonziak were not apple vice president
he was the co-founder (along with the other steve)
and he use android... not iphone.
and he's not in apple anymore.
silverghost, 25 Dec 2010What ??? No support for VPN on Symbian^3. And I thought Nokia wanted these phones to be "... moreIt does have VPN, just hop on over to the nokia site, look for the E7, click on the "Business Benefits" sub-catagory, and then read on. It's a 'communicator', such things are a default on an Eseries Communicator.
Anonymous, 26 Dec 2010If it was just having Android OS!!!
( Dreaming )
Huuuhso you would want an android phone with Arm11 processor and 640x360 resolution? That would be the crappiest android fone ever.
Thnx God ders still serious manufacturers out there, Nokia isnt even trying anymore. Personally i had enough of superslow unresponsive fones with Nokia N97/5800, the 680Mhz vs 434Mhz isnt enough to make a difference, with this new era demanding extended use of widgets its juzt gonna get slower. Like Arm11 symbian touchscreens wasnt already slow enough?? Add to that the low res screen and we have a sure loser, N97 went into history as a crappy unit and E7 is trying to be worse.
Anonymous, 24 Dec 2010if you really understand the nokia strategy than you will know that android is NOT a threat at... morebut i think the android os knocking on the nokia door, i think on the nokia side is not comforttable right now,yes you right nokia develop his own software and is ok with that, but now they have a serios enemi, now nokia is not alone on the top of the world, like the vicepresident of the apple said...android is the future..i think is right
