SFAN, 08 Nov 2010I think the E7 should have been Android powered.
It will save Nokia's market share and it'll ... morehmmm. I wonder why you would still work on your Symbian OS if you just switched to Android... ;)
The choice of sticking with Symbian is clearly a strategic one for Nokia. They want to keep full control of their operating system. I would agree with you that Symbian^3 does not appear as "polished" as Android or iOS with maybe a little more lag and convoluted menu structures. However, I think there is an advantage to Symbian which is often overlooked, in that it appears to be lighter on resource use (CPU and memory). As a consequence the Nokia phones appear to deliver similar performance with lower hardware specs, when compared to Android. I believe this is most visible when looking at battery life. Many users were worried about the N8 battery life, because it comes with only a 1200mAh battery. However, in practical usage the N8 appears to outperform similar phones running iOS or Android, in terms of battery life.
Just my 2 cents.
e7 will me much much better then n8 because eseries has a good stauts then nseries thats y i hope no e7 will rock and n8 will nt rock that much....
my onw exprience abt n series was nt that gud but when i start using e series i always tryed to buy new version of it.... guys wait for e7 nt just rushup and buy n8 if u buy i think so u will find loss in it..... thanksss.....
I think the E7 should have been Android powered.
It will save Nokia's market share and it'll give them more time on working on their Symbian OS as well as MeeGo.
I've played around Symbian^3 for a bit... it's not up to par with Android.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Nokia fan, but paying this much just for the alluminum casing and HDMI support isn't worth the money.
My Dream Phone, 06 Nov 2010Nokia E7 General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700... moreAre you kidding guys? Where do you find that specs? I've searced many sites and none said like you wrote here. Are you really really dreaming?

Nuges, 06 Nov 2010Nokia is being silly producing a device like this without the ability for an external 32GB or ... moreif your moaning about this phone, have a look at the n8 why don't you. because that's the one with better specs. stop moaning
Nokia has produced new models of mobile phones that are readily available in the market but they are nothing compared to the NOKIA N900 a Mobile Internet Tablet.
I still love this NSeries Model.
Fixed focus really bad... I had tried C7 fixed focus it's almost same with those 2M camera... but the other spec of the E7 still very good..
In the Nokia specifications, says that it has a micro USB connector.. please update the infomation.
i think nokia E7 pack with 4G while the other brands in Q4 of 2010 so many 4G handset will be available with a good configuration
Nokia is being silly producing a device like this without the ability for an external 32GB or more memory card. I could be wrong, though as it gives room for yet another possible device. Had it come with an expandable memory car slot I would definitely buy this device. Why does Nokia do these things. An N8 with keyboard would have had me buy 2 such devices one for and the other for my wife. Come on Nokia to some of us the iPhone is not an option but you have got to give us something!
josh, 06 Nov 2010I need both GSM & CDMA working. Which I hope avbl in E7 as per spec on Nokia site. Will it... moreYou were very unfortunate,
because nokia didn't make a high end CDMA phone because CDMA network were not as good as GSM, and CDMA user number were not growing anymore, and CDMA technology were doomed dead. See the gsm association web pages about this.
