Zain Aslam Don, 04 Oct 2010I think instead of four arrow keys in the qwerty keypad, they should have placed something lik... moreI find that I do not like the D-pad on the N97. I find it is too easy to accidentally hit the centre button when trying to navigate. With a touchscreen phone, I find that it is easier to simply touch the screen instead of moving a mouse pointer/cursor and then pressing the D-pad button. I cannot recall the last time I actually used the D-pad on the N97.
nazym, 04 Oct 2010and i was like screaming that it doesnt have autofocus , hopefully is not official...The E7 uses Extended Depth of Field instead of auto focus. EDoF enables objects in the foreground and background to all be focused. The camera is calibrated so that objects from 50cm to infinity are focused. The disadvantage is that extreme close-up shots cannot be focused.
TYrone, 04 Oct 2010which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thanksofcourse optical zoom
Digital zoom will only makes u to look into a portion of image(illusioning that its been enalrged); but optical zoom is the real zoom but u gotta go for digital cameras
and i was like screaming that it doesnt have autofocus , hopefully is not official...
I think instead of four arrow keys in the qwerty keypad, they should have placed something like what they provided in N97. actually i am currently using N97 n i feel the navigation keys are so very convenient during surfing internet
TYrone, 04 Oct 2010which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thanksDigital zoom will never be as good as optical Zoom. Digital zoom is interpolated pixels, its computer generated so it will never match real capture of real pixels.
which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thanks
X-man, 03 Oct 2010Best phone to date! A must buy! touchscreen and keyboard....and no autofocus :-(
hey guys i had the nokia n82 than i bought the communicator and both of them had the graphics accelerator. when using a phone with dedicated graphics the cpu is nothing( by the way 680 mhz is not bad specially for symbian os. i used the n82 and it was one of the best i had ever had.
in addition the symbian os got the same games running on android and iphone with the same quality( i heard that you can play multiplayer games with different os like running the asphalt 5 on the 3 os mentioned above)
i'm going to buy the n8 since i'm a camera lover( maybe the next year i'll buy the e7)
symbian rocks!!! But for an E phone I still need the office editor 2!!! Nice phone nokia, please never take big consuming Os! Nokia 4Ever Greets to the arena team
TC, 03 Oct 2010It is only possible to lika N8 or E7 if you never ever have really used Android. I was a Nokia... moreYeah ur right man...why cant nokia upgrade to android while all other companies have...they can also produce symbian and phones with other os's side by side...like wat sony ericsson is doing they hav android(xperia x10) symbian (satio vivaz) and also windows in aspen(greenheart range)...i really want nokia to stepup and once again gain its past glory!
The processor looks a little bit slow but aside from that I think its a pretty good looking phone.
I've checked the Nokia italy site and it says that it will be available by the end of october so maybe I'll preorder one
I really like this phone, it looks elegantly designed...hope they're going to release it in singapore soon
you know i tryed for this mobile a coll inernet game tankionline.com try it
What a jaw dropping phone...hope it will be released in Singapore soon :)
It is only possible to lika N8 or E7 if you never ever have really used Android. I was a Nokia-fan that used all the "arguments" you now use to defend Symbian and Nokia, but when N97 mini disappointed me I decided to try and buy an Android phone and I was "blown away" and amazed by how very mych better Android is.
If you have never used anything else but Symbian and Nokia, then you will lova N8 and E7, but if you dare leaving Symbian and try Android you wil never ever want to go back to Symbian, unless your a Nokia-employee.
Nokia is the only, dying dinosaur, that still hang on to the outdated Symbian, while all other companies have moved on and upgraded to a more modern OS. Nokia is welcome to join the Android world when they can not rely on brandfanatic Nokia-fans to buy their phones anymore. Almost all problems with N8 and E7 is a result of Symbian.
