Still going strong after over 3 years. Although the new N900 has stolen my heart, so I guess it's time change up.
Hardware has survived all that time intact, only the exterior has gotten the usual bumps and bruises from drops etc. And of course front buttons and joystick has some of it's coating worn out. Also the flip is still sturdy. I was worried about it when I got the phone, but seems my worries were unfounded.
I do quite a bit of browsing on the phone using Opera (symbian) and Opera Mini (java). I have mostly left the original browser alone after getting Opera. As the device has only ~21-22Mb of memory free, it usually causes "Out of memory" errors on graphics heavy sites.
Using Putty to connect to my Linux server (wlan / 3G works nice) and IRCing using the full keyboard is quite nice, although the buttons are small so sometimes mistypes are impossible to avoid.
The camera is quite bad in low lighting, in bright / sunlight it's ok.
All in all, it served me well all these >3 years.

> In reply to Stas @ 2009-02-10 16:15 from q{f1The joystick on mine has just broken off, rendering an otherwise fine phone pretty useless. Disappointed it's made from such cheap and nasty plastic (the joystick, that is).

No hangups, all keys and functionality are very convenient and suitable to work. i can see my office emails through html, outlook. and i can use its additional features while on INTL. roaming. I have also installed putty (a S/W that works on windows and login onto linux servers) and its working excellent. BOTTOM LINE IS I AM VERY HAPPY. NO COMPLAINTS...

I've had this for about 2 years now. It has one of the best QWERTY keypads ever made, very similar to that of a PC keyboard. After 2 years of use I can surely say it's one of the best business mobiles around, except for one or two very annoying glitches: the alfanumeric keypad is rather stiff (although the buttons are comfortably large); the screen can become very hard on the eyes, since it has a fairly high definition (352*416 pixels) and is quite small; the worst is actually the joystick, which has this problem with the Down press (sometimes when you press Down, it assumes Select/Ok, so it becomes quite irritating); it has fairly low RAM and a 207 Mhz CPU, so it can be really sluggish inspite of having a fairly simple OS when compared to Windows Mobile; I had two mailboxes set up and recently they just poofed away alonside my operator's configurations (I had to reconfigure manually :P ). The E71 seems like a good choice nowadays, though the QWERTY keypad doesn't seem to be as good as this smartphone's. One other thing, E70 handles media quite decently, but has no support for stereo bluetooth phones, the music level is low when compared to Nseries models like N73 and since it's very sluggish, videogames tend to suck (especially 3D games). All in all, it's foremost a great Communicator. Too bad about the damned joystick and sluggishness though.

I just installed the Google Maps on my E70
Here is the link
m.google.com/maps
You can get directions with and without GPS, there are many options there, including satellite views, walk/public transport/car directions and others.
