I have same question as David.
I had the 6800 and 6822. Yes there was difference. 6800 very good, nice clicks, feel good under thumbs. 6822 not so good, not good feel when clicked because it has very bad tactileness.
Does E70 have good feel when click buttons?
Please let me know. I want to buy but only if keys good and feel good.
i sorry for my english. it choppy but I learning.

Hello everybody.
I am currently using a Nokia 6120 classic but am looking for something with a qwerty keypad.
I thought of purchasing a Nokia E61 and the Nokia E90 but they are much too big.
I am now thinking about the E70 because it looks very nice. My question is, how is the tactile feedback of the qwerty keypad?
I use to have the Nokia 6800 and loved it. I only replaced it when the Nokia 6822 came out but surprisingly, I hated that one.
There was a very large difference in the two devices and immediately changed back to the 6800 until I bought the 6120 classic about 5 months ago.
I do not wish to repeat that mistake with the E70 and will be glad to read any messages about the qwerty keyboard.
Please let me know what you all think of it and it's tactile feedback.
Thank you.

Hey Ali,
You are seems to be over excited writing on some blog space, think twice & not in hurry,
I have been using this phone well before you bought it, the locking you mentioned is a manual locking only and not Autolock,
'Gogtjopper' has clearly asked for AUTO LOCK and no MANUAL LOCK, dont write nonsence without thinking.

Hey silovate,
The guy asking you $749 is ripping you off, the retail value of the phone is between $300 - $ 360.
The other guy, who is selling for $349, is selling for the right price, but you will not get any warranty from Nokia USA, if it is Chinese version.
Hope this helps!

Hey Gogtjopper,
Don't listen to DEV, because he doesn't know about Nokia E70. To lock you phone:
Press the 'left selection key'and then 'Asterisk' (Also known as Star Key or '*')
To unlock:
Do the same as above.

Hey Gogtjopper,
There is no Autokey pad locking software built-in inside Nokia OS.
You have to install Free Auto Keypad locking software after downloading from the net.
Search the net and you will get one.
Frankly phone is very good but Nokia made it very difficult to get the phone, then to get the spares and support.

Great phone if you can get your hands on one for under $300 on ebay. Why Nokia didn't market this phone to a US carrier and since discontinued it I don't know. My only regret is not getting is sooner and retiring the Treo 650 sooner. Screen resolution, flip key board, camera, web capability, bluetooth is great. Syncs my corporate e-mail in real time faster than the Treo the company provided me for that purpose. The only negatives are that black coating on the keys wears off around the edges showing the white plastic underneath and most women who have seen it say it looks a bit too large and resembles at TI calculator from the '80s (looks less like one if you get it in silver). Not as stylish at the 6800 during it's heyday but way better than the 6800 in every other respect.

been using it for a year, nice phone it has everthing (well except the FM). i love the 3G, the office suite editor and let's not forget the qwerty keyboads, and still has the form factor of a traditional candybar.
yes, the center joystick sometime stuck, won't go to certain direction, confirm me that the best design would be a center joystick with a directional keys around it, just like E51 for example.

IMPORTANT & URGENT
I own this phone and its best phone I ever had with me, its fully loaded except FM & GPS.
However Nokia already stopped to promote & support this Phone, so please think twice before buying this phone.
I am trying to change my outside housing due to worn out key pad but I cannot get it from anywhere in the world. (I have been using this phone more than 1.5 Year by now).
If you know full housing with Joystick available somewhere then please inform to me as I will buy immediately.
