today I bought the new released E72i in China. Seems apart of the added WAPI support (own Chinese wireless system) , the mobile is identical to the E72.
I have no idea when the E72i will be released outside China. But anyhow the E72i is born.

> In reply to Arthur @ 2010-09-11 12:13 from 3GDI - click to readI'm not trying to be argumentative but I take it that you havent used a BB before. The 128mb RAM of the E72 says it all. Although its true that BB's are more expensive carrier charges wise, but its incomparable to the E72. Try using an OLD BB curve (with BIS) and youll see what I mean. Theres a good reason why BB's are still numero uno with the Business Class.

This should be a great mobile, but it has serious memory problems - typing in text or email is frustratingly slow - almost unusable sometimes. It's OS problem apparently, bad memory handling. Otherwise, no problems, but would not recommend as business mobile...

> In reply to penny88 @ 2010-09-09 15:23 from PS6k - click to readThe Blackberry is tied to BIS to obtain full functionality and also will not allow you to use Skype I have researched both phones as I was indeed in this dilemma as well. I have just purchased the E72 which technically is a more capable phone. There are pluses with the Blackberry but overall I would recommend the Nokia E72

Very disappointed with the camera macro shot (close up shot). The camera flash is just too bright and it pops up during auto focus time. There is no way to disable it and it is not possible to take a close up shot with words and sentence under this type of situation.
Really feel up sad and have reported to Nokia repeatedly. None of my works carry outcome after the release of latest firmware V51. The problem remains there.
Thinking of switching to E5. But after surveying found out that it is more worst than E72. The camera din not have auto focus. There is a sentence written on Nokia official spec for this phone E5 CAMERA WITH FULL FOCUS. When I ask nokia developer team to explain what does this full focus mean, they reply me FULL FOCUS MEAN NO AUTO FOCUS.
What the problem with you Nokia?

E 72 is a great phone, but you cant compare it with Blackberry as the BB messenger service is the best thing.. Be in touch with your pals if he/she has a BB too for free.. Free sms anywhere in the world except few countries where they blocked BB messenger

i dont advise anyone to buy E72 ... i used to have the E71 E61 ...but the E72 is the worst smartphone i ever bought... i will list it :
1 - hangging all the time.
2 - very slow gps search for conection.
3 - and a very weak body it feel like plastic.. not like it is royal big brother the E71 and E61.
4 - sometimes the video dosent work.. u have to restart the device.
i cannot count most of the problem bez i will take the whole page.. but nokia faild with this devise and i think they have to be more honest with there customer specailly the one who didnt shift to Iphones and BB ... i gone many time to the dealer many time and always saying that the mobile is perfect and nothing is wrong... i wish that they were hoenst with me and told me the truth of it is failure.

Dear,
I am using Nokia E72 from last 6 months now. I brought it that time for Rs.23,000/-
I think this Phone has extraordinary features. Everything is there in this phone. Yes, Blackberry is also a great option, but I tell U that Blackberry is a foreign product (it's spare parts are not easily available, it sometimes doesn't work for some operators, etc.). While NOKIA is best U already know that. NOKIA E72 has Blackberry like features...

It has everything U want in a phone.
-QWERTY Keyboard makes writing very easy for me.
-Wide Landscape Display is great. Love it!
-Optical Navigation Key (i.e, U can navigate by touch. Its navigation is touch sensitive)
-Battery lasts for 4 days normally.
-As far as Internet is concerned. This is the Best Internet Phone with many inbuilt features.

What else U wanna know? I am just suggesting U becoz I am using it myself, and I never faced any problem like hanging or such... very durable phone too...

> In reply to COSMINHO @ 2010-09-10 21:38 from LaCx - click to readonce you've placed the Contact to the "TO" box of your message, you can check the number by pressing Options-Message Details... unluckily, e72 doesn't seem to have the Name and Number view in Contacts..

I have been using my Nokia e72 for 9 months now.. i can't find any serious problems except for the signal reception.. similar comments have proven that placing your hands at the bottom-back of the phone reduces it's signal strength.. this may be the only thing that can be considered a flaw.. compared to iphone and blackberry when it comes to usability, i'm more comfortable with Nokia e72

Have a Nokia E72 and cannot complain. Nokia's have some of the best phones around. With a E72, you can't go wrong. Have not problems with it hanging up etc. Check your service provider to see if its not their system.
