I love Nokia and I think I really like the E72. I love the UI of the HD2 and Android and as much as I want the E72. I will wait. I just read that Googles will come out with a NEXUS TWO...full qwerty phone taking direct aim at Blackberry. Can you imagine Android on the E72? HTC has full qwerty phones but hey are UGLY compared to E71/E72/BB 9700. Also Nokia is working on overhauling Symbian for 2010.
just got my new e72. i love it. it's a good phone. sophisticated design and function. it's the best phone i've ever had.
I don't find the option
Somebody know how to call by internet by SIP???(whitout Fring)
Haha, ako pinoy ako... check mo sa greenhills.com.ph, I think it's around P20,000. But then again, I need some E72 owners here to answer my query regarding user experience in adapting on the qwerty pad. In time perhaps, but I think BB still has a better keypad. What holds me from getting this is the qwerty. And for BB, the BIS plan..
I have recently changed from a HTC tytn II and all I can say is that this phone is so much quicker and easier than I thought it would or could be. I wanted a phone that could do everything that the tytn could but in a smaller/lighter form and if it operated better then that would be a bonus, simplicity of e-mail setup is impressive.
Absolutely no doubt there are better phones out there with slicker graphics etc but I am well impressed with what you can do with this bit of kit. Connectivity is just superb - does everything I want and more. If money was no object I would have got the Iphone or HTC HD2 but like most people it is - if you can get this cheaply I would highly recommend it, got to be one of the best phones out there for the money even though it isn't perfect.
Marcus, 10 Jan 2010This is a bit timely since things are stirring up between BB and E72. I'm torn in choosing bet... moreIt really seems that time is working against BB now. When data access was a luxury item they were selling the plans for better prices including access but now the things are kind of different. I would choose E72 too instead of BB. Which is exactly what I did recently.
korea, 09 Jan 2010Thank you..... I have to ask this. What do you think of the Blackberry 9700 in comparison to... moreHi,
This is why I've never attempted to buy a BB phone. The BIS thing is very nonsesnse. I always prefer to stick with open standars such as POP and SMTP.
Also I don't like to crate a bottleneck sending all my e-mail to them whne tehere's an outage nobody can get an email.
So I believe the BB will take its place in the history. The only thing they have done wisely in the past was creating Data access plans with e-mail functionality but it is not necessary in todays environment. In these days data access was scarse and expensive. The thing what created them will be the main cause that will destroy them.
I've never seen a thread here in GSM Arena with a commotion building up! Rajesh is ok with his comments, only he blurts out his emotions no holds barred. But that's fine, this is an open thread so everyone's opinion counts. Anyway, segue, I wanted to get the unit but as I've said when I tried it at the store, it was to hard to hit the right keys. Now I see someone commented and had a screename "one hand" is that the best way to get used to it to not have so many typos? I'd appreciate your reply, many thanks!!!
Friends, my being on this forum is a curse to many who are blindly in love with their E72. This I am addressing to E72 freaks. Stop talking to me or talking about me and you will never read any comments from me against you. So best way is dont even bother to read my comments and dont even bother to speak about me and ask your friends who are also E72 freaks not to give any importance to my presence on this forum and not to reply to my comments. CHOICE IS YOURS FRIENDS...WHY GIVE ME IMPORTANCE AND RUIN YOUR DAY....RIGHT ???
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Ha Ha Ha, call me whatever want...who cares...The more you call me names the more I will be known on this forum and innocent Bhosadi like you only are the ones who dont know what they want in life and never satisfied with what they have and get so bothered with any comments which are not in their favour...So Bhosadi...CALL ME WHATEVER YOU LIKE....CHEERS...
good day to all!:)
my wife just bought the e72 and we are happy so far.:) we have been sony ericsson users for quite some time now, and we cant find some features we usually use on this phone. first of all, id like to ask if there is a smiley for this phone? our SEs had them wherein there were differnt smileys. and also, is there an insert animation feature? in our SEs we have this animations that we can send together with our txt thru SMS. we love using this feature because we feel we cn express our feelings better and make emphasis on our msgs.
i hope someone would take the time to respond to my queries.:) Good day and God bless!
Indian freak, 10 Jan 2010Rajesh, read your posts make me interested in your opinion about smartphones. I think you're t... moreEarly 2010 is a time of Innovation. Android, Windows Mobile 6.5 are flooding the market. HTC is aggressively rolling out new Smartphones and PDA phones. Symbian too is undergoing a new uplift and Nokia in March will be announcing a few new handsets with much higher specs and features. On the chip and processor front Qualcomm has already launched 1.5 Ghz processor and a new species of Graphic chips are making their way in 2 months. So if I were to genuinely recommend something to you, it would be " Wait for 2 or 3 months and you will definitely find your dream phone ".
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2010@amit dude how about ur n97mini? is it ok to use, im confused what to buy either e72 or mini,... moreIt may be a matter of personal choice, i liked e72 more than n97mini, opening and closing the keyboard is annoying, e72 keboard has better tactile feedback, complete office suite in e72.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Rajesh, read your posts make me interested in your opinion about smartphones. I think you're trusted person.
Well I like all in one device that I can use for phone function, music player, video player and camera. Bringing separate devices like ipod, camera and phone is sometimes annoying as I like travelling and should keep my belonging as light as possible.
Currently I am having e71 and 5800. I love them a lot. I use my e71 for texting, emailing and main organizer. Meanwhile 5800 for music and video player. I can say that they are perfect mates to me except for taking serious pictures.
I had reckoned to buy e72 but read lots of complains about its bugs. My question to you is simple. I would like to buy all in device, in simple word, e71 + 5800 + decent camera. I have concern about innov8 and n86. I am open minded to all platforms.
Thanks Rajesh, have a great day.
PS. Your twitter id please....
Very good mobile phone from nokia, complete in all respects, it is a sought of mini computer, does almost all the things an ordinary person will do on computer, surf net, play games, open and edit office documents, plus it makes calls and takes good photos also.
10 out of 10 to nokia for making such a perfect and brilliant mobile phone, i rarely keep a mobile for more than 6 months, i think i will keep it for coming 2yrs atleast, well done Nokia.
I have been using Nokia handsets for a long time. Presently I am using Nokia e 72 and am happy with it, however, I personally feel e72 needs a software update. I have noted that e 72 hangs after you have downloadd lots of data expecially online. Apart from this issue I would give full marks to nokia e 72.
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2010e72 or n97mini? help me i cant really decide which 1 to buy! sorry if i posted here or whatever..Get the E72. It has a much better battery than the N97, it has Nokia's fastest processor at 600MHZ (N97 is just over 430 MHZ). This means the E72 will much faster to open applications, upload, download, surf the net, boot up etc. The are both good looking. I charge my E72 every four days. N97 will be charged every other day if not daily depending on your usage. I considered both and am happy with my choice.
