The overall problem with Nokia is that after official announcement of most of its handsets, Nokia often leaves long period of time before the handsets actually start shipping or hit the shelves. This gap allows other manufacturers space and time to attack with similar handsets and make them better in some aspects. The official launch of Nokia E71 on 16 June 2008 is a better example and might partly explain the success of E71, Smartphone of the Year 2008. Nokia should be aware of this.

The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009 at an estimated retail price of EUR 350 before taxes and subsidies.
That Optical Track Pad does help a lot, definitely worth upgrading from the Nokia E71.
I have a Black berry can i use BB instant Messaging with this Nokia or is BB IM only for BB users?
Why the video camera have only 15 frames/sec instead of 30 frames/sec , like N95 ? I don't think that is so hard to do it !!!! Stupid !!!!
Anonymous, 15 Jul 2009NOKIA dont remove IR !
Remote function is very useful
IR is gone. It would be nice to remote control lots of devices like a One4All remote but I guess Nokia dumped it since it is useless for data transfer.
More than that I think I will miss an FM transmitter (would be great to play audiobooks on my car's radio or even other uses)
