For Rakesh Sonaware:
Please go to smart2go.com and download maps. Make sure you download on memory card as this occupies serious amount of space. You will need to put your phone in "data transfer" mode.
T.A.K, what issue are you having with the speaker? is it the sound like a soda can opening when you make a call?
In E90 , does anybody face the problem of instrument getting hanged when receiving an incoming call. it happens quite often with my cell , can somebody guide me with the solution of the same .

You can do that with every E-SERIES device. Why would E90 be different? OMFG, everywhere I read about the E90 i get the chills. I have an E70 and I wanna go for the E90. So far I will pass because it seems it is a failure with this FW.

It is very rare that speaker problem is due to hardware, though possible, it most probably is a software problem.
To fix it try updating your firmware through the Nokia Software update (NSU) or reinstalling it if you have the latest version. The latest version should be V07.24.0.3 12/06/2007 RA-6.
Make sure you back up all your phone on the memory card before you update.
If the problem presists, then it's the phone itself.. Get it replace.
NOTE: I have none of the problems anyone is mentioning on here. My E90 works perfectly well, all application function, no problems, no freezes nothing! It's an awesome piece of work from Nokia!
P.S. Yes you can view attachments, make attachments, and convert office docs to PC and open them normally! I use QuickOffice 4.5!
i have bad news :( i am facing terrible speaker problems with my E90...
for the ones that have or had this problem how did u solve it... is it hardware or software? if ur E90 was taken to a serivce center and fixed plz let me know what was changed, how was the problem solved...
thank u all in advanced
I have been using the communicator for the last few years , and on 9210i and the 9500 face the problem of attachments which cannot be viewed .
Have tried all means with nokia and their care centre , but the phone just refuse to open the attachment
Can anyone let me know how the new E90 works on files attachments which we received via e mail
I myself would like to get the new communicator , but the local singapore distrubutors just cannot let me have a definite answer , and we cannot return the phone if it carries the same problem fron the older models
I would like to buy E90 or Asus P735 but i can't make up my mind. E90 got office doc rite, but wat if i wan to put my doc like Microsoft words, excel and powerpoint into the office doc do i need to convert it coz it use symbian OS. Does it come with the software for the convertion.
rj, sorry to hear about your problems. try checking with your network first. i myself have never experienced anything like what you have mentioned, and my e90 is from the first batch. after reading other forums, i think you might be the only one experiencing dropped calls on a regular basis. take a look at your software and upgrade it if it's the older version
I got my long awaited E90 a week ago
Thought I was one of the lucky ones, BUT GUYS PLEASE HOLD YOUR HORSES !!
This phone freezes about every 5 minutes, it freezes in the middle of phone calls, it 3 out of 10 times doesn't even make contact at all, although the phone shows it is in touch. The applications SUCK, because they are slow and un reliable
It is a beuatiful phone, it promises the world, but until now it has been ONE BIG HEADACHE.
I surely hope that Nokia will do something about the bugs and userfriendlyness, I have retrieved my old 9500 communicator, zo that I can at least make reliable calls every now and then.
My friends and family are already starting to notice when I have 'my new phone' with me, when the line drops dead in the middle of a copnversation (and that happens every other call, and sometimes 5 times in a row within one attempted communication with someone), my partner asks me why the heck I pay 800 euro's for a phone that doesn't work, and the supplier says they don't know.
Nokia is to busy producing them.
I AM COMPLETELTY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS MACHINE, Nokia has overstretched their abilities here!
I do hope it is just bugs, but the way it is now: DO NOT BUY !!!
Yes there is a shortage on the E90 in most places in the world. I got mine for US$900 about 3 weeks back and now you will be lucky to get it for $1000 and that's if you can find it, due to the 10'000 waiting list on this phone in the United Arab Emirates!
I placed an order for my Sim Free Nokia E90 two weeks ago but I won't get it until September 23rd because there is a shortage of internal components.
Can someone tell me why phones in the UK are far more expensive than the USA and other countries? If one looks at the exchange rate prices are no way near comparable. Sometimes one pays 50% just because they bought the device in the UK. What is the game? On a different note I was wondering when the Flashlite player will be upgraded so that the E90 can play YouTube videos.
