Does anyone think that the i-Mate Ultimate 7150 might be a better alternative -it has a much larger display which is touchscreen and runs Windows. Having said that, the design is slightly larger and doesn't look as comfortable to use as a regular phone.
What are your thoughts?

Hi Nokia (Crazy) Users,
This Phone looks a real master peice by my favourite Brand. Its a Communicater with a 3.2 MP Camera which completes your desire of both a Pocket PC & a Digital Camera. Right now I am using Nokia 7710 & I really prepared to go for this darling phone by Nokia. The only thing i am concerned about is the Ringtone volume of this phone as it does not have the 3D sound speaker which would have also completed its requirments as a Music Phone. Hey but any idea of what would be its launching price?????? Mega Bucks for sure. CU

The E90 will support Blackberry Connect.
Go to Nokia Business Software on your PC and click on Blackberry connect.Choose your Location,Network Provider and Phone Model.
Blackberry Connect will only be available when the E90 has been released.

i have a 9300i communicater software v6.27; and yes the phone freezes and it is slow. I am confident that nokia is well aware of these issues but, the fact remains that the long awaited E90 - is the new standard of mobile portability.
I do hundreds of transfers/backup on these 9110/9210/9300/9500 communicators (before our techs repair these) and let me mention that some of these clients have more than 10000 contacts and years of diary entrys (transferred from device to device)and even use the advance search features in their phones eg. notes/addresses etc. They had their share of imates, htc's,sony's which couldnt even store this amount of info, gave consistant problems, some even crashed completely, and they are surprised & amazed at the 9300/9500 phones ability to store this level of info even if it was slow.
The E90 has some sum serious hardware and all the bells and whistles but, i would bet that the o/s symbian sofware for these phones are still lagging a bit behind and needs to be perfected.
i hope that none of its plain & simple practical features are not affected because of software problems, like any other software it will require continous development, so yes be patient for those upgrades.
I hope that many issues that where apparent on the previous communicators sorted out with the E90 communicator. (or my life would be a living nightmare) Cheers to Nokia.

Nokia e90 is a smartphone, Samsung f700 is just a phone. Nokia has WI-Fi, GPS and Symbian and that's why it is bigger than Samsung. F700 is a ordinary gsm phone with HTC/QTEK design and a good camera. I'll always choose a smartphone rather than a phone with a good camera.

i think this is the best communicator yet. good camera, video conferencing, qwerty keyboard, improved functionalities. Yeah it's a bit bulky, but if you're used to using the past communicators, there wouldn't be a problem with size.

"could nokia possibly fit all of the features of E90 in a size of 6233?"
uhh, YES if nokia was good at engineering.
have you seen the new Samsung Ultra F700, pal?
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_f700-1849.php
http://www.engadget.com/2007/0...-smart-f700/
5 megapixel camera with autofocus
secondary VGA for videocalling
7.2mbps HSDPA
440x240 3" touchscreen
QWERTY keyboard
all in a slim 16mm package. it's also a WHOPPING 28 millimeters shorter and 7 millimeters narrower, an overall compact form that bests the Nokia E90 on quite a few fronts.
nokia is lazy with engineering because they know you fanboys will buy it no matter if it's THE SIZE OF A LAPTOP! you buy up those chunky N-Series bricks afterall, so why bother with miniaturization?
nokia is behind the curve with the slim phone revolution like they always are.

People have nothing else to do than insult each other. I don't think anyone is interested in seeing kinder garden behavior. You like P990i, post in the P990i section. You like iphone, post in the iphone section, etc.
All this junk will not hide the fact that E90 is a new generation communicator. I would like to see the RAM on P990i after boot I can tell you the E90 has 80 megs...
