I've using 9300 for about 3 years and other type of previous communicator because its facsimile capability. Altough sounds old fasion this function very much needed to support my business activity. Does this type of feature still be available on this latest model?
omg omg, man, i cannot believe this phone is like a mini laptop. look at that nice small keyboard! holy. nowadays, nokia phones r worth big bucks. it might just even worth more by the end of this year. i bet this phone might cost $1500 when it comes out.
s60 V2 was fast a bit limited . v3 i not limited multytasking but slower.
so i guess you will be able to open and view 2 stand by applications at the same time due to the whide screen that can be interresting
for phones like this when it comes out prepair 1000$ bugjet
The good thing about Nokia is that it releases great features in different form factors. Consider the the E70, E61 and now the E90. I wish though they focus on improving the speed of the excellent E70 instead of coming up with so many different form factors:
1. The E90 is difficult to type on (it it thumb keyboard or not?). The E61 is great to type on but sucks as a phone (one hand operation anyone?). The perfect form factor for me is the E70 (one hand operation via T9, i.e. when driving and two hands via large keyboard). By the way, the P990's keyboard is so bad that I could not understand how some people put it in the same league as the blackberry and the E-series devices. The P990 is a geek device that you never see in the boardrooms.
2. I don't see the point of having a built-in GPS. You want to position the stand alone BT GPS where it can get the best signal while the phone should be close to your eyes. Example uses: in the car you can put the GPS receiver below the back window, with power supply; on the plane you can stick in next to the window to track the plane position; in a cab in London it is still easier to have separate devices. What do you think?
Anyway, the point was: Nokia, please make a faster E70, with instantaneous menus like a blackberry.
Regards,
V.
fones with similar functions weigh between 150 and 175grams, the E90 at 210grams is abit too heavy...
I have been using the 9300 Communicator for nearly two yaers. E90 looks smarter than my current phone. I guess, it would be even better to use with the addition of vibration mode, GPS and camera; the three attributes that were not there in the 9300. Looking forward to its launch in India. Come on guys and girls. When you want the best, don't worry about the price. Just get it!
Hem its looks like a brick with sophisticated feature, but i will buy if the price equal with the bustle to bring that phone.
last 6 years i am useing vareius nokya comunicators. i am totaly habutuly for comunicator.my present comunicator is now brke-down. i am eagrly wating e90. when it will lwanch in india and what will its price.
I learnt the GPS chipset is a Sirfstar I. That has got to be a joke! (really bad reception of GPS signal). Most devices have at least Sirfstar III
