hy guys im getting confused how to download whatsapp if I try to download whatsapp it showing my my family sitting needed n getting closed nw say me wt to do? ??? help me guys ..
I have had this phone from a month now. Being an android user myself for 3 years, I was a little hesitant to try a completely new OS platform i.e. windows OS.
Let me tell you, i have heard quite bad about WP myself from people. But the thing is that the people who are badmouthing the platform haven't even used it for more than a day. They are comparing with their own understanding. Which is totally inaccurate.
This phone is a powerhouse compared to the price and specifications. The camera is satisfactory. Windows Phone has quite some amazing looks and features. Of course it'll take time to get used to how things run in it. First few days may be frustrating but let me tell you i never was this satisfied with android.
The OS is sandboxed so don't expect any file manager. As for the apps. Almost all apps are available in the marketplace. Official or substitute.
New amber update which will arrive in a week will bring even more features and improvements.
The phone is completely lagfree and smooth. I never said this for my android. The live tiles are an amazing experience. Ofcourse windows platform isn't quite that good for notifications as there is no notifications center but live tiles make up for it. Also there are rumors that in the future WP 8.1, a lot of good stuff is gonna be added.
Nokia's quality is amazing. Yes some cons were also there. Camera quality isn't that good but amber update is supposed to resolve that. No file manager may cause some problems but concerned apps work pretty well like office for docs. Video supports are limited to avi, xvid, mp4 and 3gp.
Did i mention some additional amazing stuff like Here maps?, Xbox live?, People hub, Nokia's own apps, office mobile, etc etc.
Go for quality. Go for 520.
With a normal GSM subscription could someone kindly let me know just how much Internet and other access in within the price one pays each month?

Dinesh , 25 Aug 2013This phone has so many problems, 1 You can not upload a video in Whatspp, the recorded video ... moreYou can send audio/video files through Bluetooth. Seems like you don't know how to use your phone.
hari, 25 Aug 2013I am using it from 4 months ,i do like the phone.but i do have a problem that is when mobile n... moreSounds like a battery issue. Maybe a faulty battery. Do you play with the phone all the time? If not, contact Nokia care. The battery might be faulty, so you should get a new one.
Dull, 25 Aug 2013I totally agree with you. Windows Phone 8 are still fresh in the market. App unfriendly, Go... moreYes, Windows Phone is new, the limitation of it makes me confuse too. About Google unfriendly, my opinion Google and Microsoft never want to become friend. YouTube app had been revoked by Google, no Google Maps made by Googe, no Chrome made by Google.
Dinesh , 25 Aug 2013This phone has so many problems,
1 You can not upload a video in Whatspp, the recorded video ... moreYou can send audio (.amr) to other phone if you have it on your Lumia. You can send video too (if you have ever received the file from other phone. If you download video by UC Browser, you can't send it.
Note: turn on Bluetooth first before sending
For accesing SD card in full yes, but actually it can do it, it does it very limited. If you have PDF files inside your microSD, you would like to read it, install Adobe Reader and Kirik SD File Viewer (lite or paid). Install 2 apps.
This is definetly the best phone in the market, very cheap bu as smooth as Galaxy s4, why would anyone pay 600$ to an iphone or gs, just buy this...
motlhaping, 25 Aug 2013Please help me I want to buy Lumia 520 when I look at its futures they never mention if its ha... moreyes it has whatsapp + viber, line, wechat, skype, kik messenger, facebook, twitter, (vine, instagram: unofficial but as good as the official ones...)
What I like
- 28nm processor
- SD Card slot.
What I dislike
- Windows Phone 8
The camera area of the phone can generate unusual heat when you watch video online or playing games for long time. It is nearly untouchable hot even blocked by the plastic casing.
sunny, 25 Aug 2013Hi guys
plz don't buy this phone . Windows phone 8 lacks so many basic features.
1..There is... moreI totally agree with you.
Windows Phone 8 are still fresh in the market. App unfriendly, Google unfriendly, yet many app have API limitation of writing data into SD Card. Have 100k+ apps in store, but they are mostly rubbish and useless for me.
No call record due API limitation.
No compatible facebook app (yet).
Cannot be hacked (yet).
No true multitasking, app run in background will store in storage, when you open it only restore back to memory, cannot instant resume.
I dont have time to wait Microsoft/developer solving them. I have sold my phone today. I am going back to Android.
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2013can we connect nokia520 to windows laptop and browse net using the mobile internet? Yes, you can share the Internet to your Laptop.
The user interface is superb :-D This device definitely outcomes the pros over cons. You will forget the cons once you get used to it.
Though there are few limitations, it does a decent job as a smartphone.
A sweet candy for starters and medium users. Hardcore users stay away.
