anyone who wants to buy this phone should also look at nokia 700, since both are now roughly the same price.

Has this phone have a strong network connection? I'm having trouble with my previous android phone, it can't or having difficulties in receiving messages or calls but when I transfer my SAME simcard to my old nokia phone, receiving messages and calls suddenly went smoothly.
nnabazz, 27 Jun 2012How would u compare this phone to 701?Hey dude in response to comparing the 610 to the 701 i got both hands on xperience - i swapped my 701 for a 610 and so far so good. of course the 701 is more user friendly coz i got used to the belle os but after several days of getting to know the windows 7.5 it's practically the same. the only difference is that the 701 has an 8 mpx lens but w/o auto focus. The OS is still friendlier. As with the 610 it's more technical but teh images are brighter and sharper. I don't see any difference with the cpu speed coz the 610 reacts pretty much the same speed as the 701. I would give the 701 an 8 out of 10 while the 610 a 7 out of 10 but since nokia's gonna wipe out the symbian OS i'm merely looking ahead :)
why there`s not any memory card slot here? & also why it doesn`t support java application?
Guys, I'm buying this phone on December. just got an ipod touch 32gb last February. I'm inlove with this phone. Even though it only have 8gb memory and can't installed skype and other apps, i have an ipod touch for such apps. =) Hope price will hit the floor!
Yeah right, they should convert the MS to Android type.. many user looking for an android phone, however. This phone according to the other site that this phone is challenging an android phone for browsing... We Will See!
It would be better if Nokia will make another OS that is somewhat similar to android, I mean not in terms of copying the OS but in terms of attacking the market of OS to earn share. Copying is not bad if you will add some enhancements, features or other things that would make it unique, this is just an opinion coming from me.
I'm still confusing of using and operating this mobile. I need to restore and safe my notes but I can't the folder, I need Garmin navigator GPS to be installed but the traders couldn't intalled them for.The fonts in messages writing are too tinny, i really can't see them properly..Wall paper, message alert tones and ring tones are not standard or not up to date..
wel i do love nokia a lot and im eyeing for this phone however nokia chose windows rather than android and super blab i dont know if they made the right choice...anyway come on......nokia shift to android now...and make it ice cream sandwich version just like htc....
First ive got this phone for about a month and all i can say is you dont need to flash and flash and flash roms/custom roms just like in android just to maximize the speed of your phone and to longer the battery life.
First things first, all i want in a phone is:
Responsive touch screen
Fast and stable OS
Longer batter life that would last for a day and half
Good email UI
Facebook (fb in people app is awesome)
fast typing in messaging, email and internet websites
8gb is enough for anything
I do have a galaxy SL and i flashed it every once in a while just to have a stable and fast phone plus longer battery life but i end up flashing and flashing and cant get what i need. Although s3 and other new high end phone has fast UI but high price.
I know that android is better than 610 but this phone satisfies all that ive been lookin for in a phone.
Instead of buying high end phone ranging $550 above I decided to buy this phone for $130 so i can buy android tablet or ipad that i can use for games and other entertaining apps.
Just think, you want high end phones with high specs and was very expensive but at the end of the day you will still use it as a phone.
Every phone has its own pros and cons so it depends on how you use it.
Jonathan Archer, 24 Jun 2012No bluetooth file transfer? where's u'r brain nokia?
-I mean, i own u'r first symbian smartph... moreOh come on.....the later version of the phone has NFC, the technology which is expected to replace Bluetooth.
This makes the phone special because NFC at a low price is hard to find
