> In reply to cellmaniac @ 2013-03-06 19:14 from uvjt - click to readAny media file thrown at WP7.x works, irrespective of format and resolution at Zune client converts it to compatible format if necessary. But I am not sure if Windows Phone 8 sync client does the same or not.

And the concern arises. Gameloft released two high quality Xbox games for WP8, Amazing Spider-Man and Real Soccer 2013. And none of it works with 512MB RAM devices including Lumia 620.

> In reply to Athull @ 2013-03-06 16:34 from t1$F - click to readNokia was developing its own OS named Meltemi based on Linux but that project was dropped long ago in favor of solely focussing on Windows Phone and bringing it to lower price points instead of Meltemi to fill gap between WP and S40.

Well I hope its rectified by now in Indian variant as Indian variant will ship with latest firmware preinstalled (as per Navifirm) so I request to have some patience.

Then they told that you can pre booking today. And after 10 day you will get mobile on hand.
And after delivery you get voucher of 1100 rs. Along with l620 .
And other thing i asked about release of l620 then they told 2nd week march and release next day you can purchase on retail outlet nokia priorty store.

U may be compromised on games a bit right now but by the end of the year there wont be such complaints about wp and the blue update will merge pc, tab and phone app stores together bringing much more high quality games.

and as far as meego it was a joint development from nokia and intel (i think) but nokia ditched it after signing agreement with ms.
Tizen Os is the continuation of maemo samsung just rebranded it and is now developing the os with intel.

Just now discovered from one of the threads in here about the multi-touch issue, it's frightening!!! I've pre-ordered one and feels like am totally cheated. Now what am eager to know is whether the touch would behave the same way, when its in one's hand rather than what the video suggests resting on a table, given that with the power cable on, the touch is fine, may be due to some EM-field plays that come in.
I request someone in here well versed with capacitive touch priciple to share some insights on the possible field changes, upon resting on palms.
If its a firmware issue as I read somewhere, that it could have been done purposefully in the design phase to run with minimal power usage and get maximum out of the battery, then even an update is going to only worsen the issue.
Now, I even doubt Nokia holding back the device's launch in India (a savior market for them)as a strategy to make it sure that they remain safe with L520 and L720 also added to the stable filling the mid-range market.
Fingers crossed and waiting for my piece to arrive in perfect shape.
